I want no part of a 1st baseman that plays bad defense at 1st and who will decline rapidly as he ages.Balls. I don't remember that happening. I guess we'll just have to settle for Fielder.

His defense isn't that bad. It's not good, but it's not terrible. And he will more than make up for that with his bat. Who says he will decline rapidly as he ages? He doesn't really rely on bat speed and he will always have the ability to take a walk.
