some of you bastards need to quit over-analyzing every single part of baseball and just enjoy the damn game.

Did you ever think that makes the game more enjoyable for some people?

I would rather read a book consisting of nothing but the numbers side of things rather than read anything someone like Harold Reynolds has to say about baseball.

sorry that I watch both sides of town, sorry that I actually love the game of baseball, sorry that i am not just focused on one team and only knowing about one team.

Numbers are useful, but they're only part of the game. Relying solely on numbers takes the soul and feeling away from baseball.

And for my money Harold Reynolds is one of the better analysts out there precisely because he doesn't bow down to sabermetrics.

combo of both. stat books are great as well as listening to FORMER MLB PLAYERS WHO HAVE BEEN THERE
