Thats what Ive been saying since the day after the Cubs beat the Cards. A lot of fans on opponent message boards were mocking the Cubs for that. It wont be the last we hear of it too. It'll just go down as another stupid Cubs moment.

hot garbage he is. I doubt this team makes the postseason next year. Arrieta wont have another monster year and our 3/4/5 pitchers are a question mark. Give Maddon his props but I doubt he gets this team any farther.

That's just stupid. This team wasn't put together to win this year. The mix isn't quite right. Need to replace Fowler and his OBP and find another contact guy. They'll get pitching. If you think a team with a core of Rizzo, Bryant, Russell, Schwarber & Soler isn't getting back I don't know what to tell you. All of us wanted this but the fact they got this far made the season a huge success.

They have struggled against a very good staff. They played a great series bashing the Cards, and now are struggling.

Bryant and Rizzo got cold at the wrong time.

This is still a very, very good team. Just getting flat out outplayed right now.

Mets have strikeout pitchers and the Crds pitch to contact a bit more. The Cubs have a lot of swing and miss. I actually thought this was a bad matchup for that exact reason. Sing and miss team against strikeout pitchers is bad. The Cubs are not going to run into enough HRs.
