My favorite teams
no shit another 1st pitch out??
That's just stupid. This team wasn't put together to win this year. The mix isn't quite right. Need to replace Fowler and his OBP and find another contact guy. They'll get pitching. If you think a team with a core of Rizzo, Bryant, Russell, Schwarber & Soler isn't getting back I don't know what to tell you. All of us wanted this but the fact they got this far made the season a huge success.
Typo as I multi task. You know what I meant.
It was still over the top and ridiculous
The Cubs had a LOT go their way this year to make it this far. I doubt that happens again. 84-78, Misses playoffs.
Now don't everybody go all "We suck. how did we ever win a game at any time" shit.
They have struggled against a very good staff. They played a great series bashing the Cards, and now are struggling.
Bryant and Rizzo got cold at the wrong time.
This is still a very, very good team. Just getting flat out outplayed right now.
No, it was pretty much what every team does. Quit being Harry Hindsight. As soon as a team loses in a series, some fans rip everything in hindsight. Dumb.
I will take the bet. Name the price. Let's start at ten grand and go up from there.
Jesus, what a great bunch of fans here. This team has played up to 5 rookies a game and got this far....did you really expect them to win it all? They got a lot farther than most anyone thought they could...including me. Most of you should get over YOUR selves....not the Cubs.
Unlike the many previous versions of the Cubs, this is only the beginning......not the end for this team.

actually, Don Sutton is a semi-regular at my bar and brought this up to me last week. Said it didn't look good with all of the social media photos and hoop-la. That got me worried right off of the bat.
You know that no team with 4 rookie starters ever made the postseason before right? Yes a lot went right but a lot of young guys played to a level they shouldn't have quite reached yet. Schwarber, Bryant and likely Soler look like perennial All Stars. Maybe Russell too. Rizzo already is. The doom and gloom is ridiculous.
