This series performance is sure making that over top ALDS celebration look even more ridiculous.
I don't remember what the Cubs specifically did different but I think most champagne spraying baseball celebrations are over the top. I like to see it when clinching a playoff spot (hey, it's a long season) and winning the World Series. Everything in between is nonsense to celebrate.

Just been straight outplayed. Rizzo and Bryant haven't hit. Montero calls for a ball in the dirt. You better block the ball. Young and got a great future but this was tough to watch. No luck for the Mets just straight outplayed us.

Jesus, what a great bunch of fans here. This team has played up to 5 rookies a game and got this far....did you really expect them to win it all? They got a lot farther than most anyone thought they could...including me. Most of you should get over YOUR selves....not the Cubs.

Unlike the many previous versions of the Cubs, this is only the beginning......not the end for this team.

I think if they looked like they were in the same league as the Mets we would feel different. Them getting owned is hard to take.

I like the way you think. And to a New York team as well!

LOL, How insane would that be for both NY teams to be up 3-0 on Theo-GM'd teams, only to lose and have the team break a long WS drought? First things first though, Silence needs to not make the IGT.

The Cardinals jumped on top of the dugout, and danced and sprayed champagne. And their fans were criticizing the Cubs. Ridiculous.

And that has something to do with the current organization how?

It's what White Sox fans always say, TC....he must have stumbled into the thread accidentally. MOF, there's a whole lot of posters here that show up only for the playoffs....the bonus is that they have such "insightful" comments.

Much easier to take for me. Last thing I want is to look like the better team and lose. Like in 03. This is one where you just tip your hat to the Mets. They're playing great baseball.

I'm not egotistical enough to try to steal Grim's spotlight, like some people who think the world revolves around them. But who knows, maybe it does.
