can't handle it? You mad bro? Toews!!!! Toews!!!! Toewsss!!!! first ballot baby. Only question is how many golds? How many cups? Will go down as the greatest leader in hockey history.

Well it'll suck for him when he loses to Team USA in the gold medal game in 2018, but he'll have to settle for winning 5 more Stanley Cups.

Agreed. Toews is the epitome of hockey player. Guy just keeps adding to his resume.

Nice 3 year old pic. I know being so young, the first thing you see on the owner might make you giggle.

How about thinking about the rest of us and just never post again.

Thanks, kiddo.

It's also if deemed and called intentional knocking off the net by the goalie, a penalty shot.

I once saw a clip a the last couple years, not from the NHL but from some other Euro league where a goalie was facing a 2 on 0 and he smacked the net off intentionally knowing that by the rules, all that was caused was a penalty shot. So he turned that 2-0 into a single shot penalty shot making it a much easier spot for him by manipulating the rules.

Actually, and I may be wrong if they changed the rule, I believe that the refs could have technically awarded it a goal if they believed that Panarin would have scored if not for Andersen intentionally knocking the net off. They would have to believe it was intentional and that it would have been a goal if not for that.

Also - I believe the clip you are talking about was from the AHL last year (unless there is one from Europe as well). The goalie then went on to make the save on the penalty shot.

Couple of thoughts from the game...

Rundblad took what may have been one of the stupidest penalties ever. Delayed penalty against the other team and he grabs the stick so the other player can't get it from him. Was just beyond stupid. Don't know if he is rubbing off on Daley or what, but Daley also had a pretty pedestrian game out there. Rundblad needs to go. He just flat out isn't good enough to help the team.

Svedberg had a real nice game out there. I criticized him for his speed and decision making, but he looked calm out there and uses that stick very well. Can see him developing into a possible #6 in the long run who doesn't do much but eat up minutes and not cost the team...something they need out there.

Hinostroza looks pretty overmatched out there. When he has the puck he shows decent hands and nice speed, but he gets bounced off and isn't winning any board battles. Would like to see both him get some AHL time.

Finally, a thought on Bickell. I'm thinking it may finally be time to send him down to the AHL. It will basically be a wash cap wise because someone will have to come up to replace him, but he needs some time on the ice. I don't see him getting his confidence back with the Blackhawks at anytime and I don't see him playing well enough in the NHL to finally allow the Blackhawks to trade him. May just be time to bite the bullet, send him to the AHL, and pray that something good happens down there.

I would never route for an injury, but did anyone else NOT feel empathy when Bieksa got hit in the face with the puck? I hate that ******.
