A max for an FA that year was 20.5 million or something like that. Knicks could offer 22 because that had bird rights. So you wouldn't even need 21.

if thats the case then i see what i was thinking
most sites were reporting Bulls had 16m add 3 and you have 19 which is right there (dump Snell and boom) so i was going off miss information...regardless certainly nothing good has came from Roses super max deal

this place would still be upbeat. i know ive picked up a rep of being pessimistic but im sure if you look back at my first season here (which was pre-ACL) i was a bit more optimistic about the team even if i gave GarPax a hard time.
i still beat myself up for missing the game where Rose had like 30 points and 15 assist vs Chris Paul. that was probably the last game we'll ever get to see of Rose just dominate like that.

Here's a fun thought: Rose is the third highest point guard in the league this season. His PER (according to Hollinger) is 56th out of point guards this season.
