Oh wait, here comes the Grimson post. I know it's coming.....
GO CUBBIES!!!
GO CUBBIES!!!
The record of one team does not correlate to a record of another because the competition isn't the same. That's why it's an opinion instead of a fact. There are other factors in there like health of teams when they play as a quick example, but I believe you get the gist.
I totally agree with the number of games a team won is fact. The point is you can't use record to determine the better team. Easy example. The Cubs were 3-3 against the White Sox. So they are the same since they have the same records. Of course not. The Cubs are a better team.Correct but like with all data everything you just mentioned can be combined in various ways to come to different findings. You don't even agree with Parade Rain on strength of schedule for example. Record is immutable, it can't be changed. It also is what the game uses for playoff matchups outside of the WC game. It's the measuring stick whether you like it or not. It's not an opinion that a team won 97 games, or 89 games or 77 games. It's unquestionable fact.
Surprised they went with three startersThe Cubs released the 25-man roster for the NL Wild Card Game on Wednesday morning.
Joe Maddon decided to include 10 pitchers and 15 position players on the active roster. Jake Arrieta, Jon Lester and Kyle Hendricks are the three starters that will be active Wednesday night.
The Cubs bullpen will consist of Hector Rondon, Pedro Strop, Fernando Rodney, Justin Grimm, Travis Wood, Clayton Richard and Trevor Cahill. The 15 position players that will be active Wednesday night are Anthony Rizzo, Starlin Castro, Kris Bryant, Addison Russell, Dexter Fowler, Kyle Schwarber, Chris Coghlan, Chris Denorfia, Tommy La Stella, Javier Baez, Austin Jackson, Miguel Montero, David Ross, Jorge Soler and Quintin Berry.
The Cubs decided to not include Jason Hammel, Dan Haren, Tommy Hunter, Neil Ramirez, Carl Edwards Jr., Jonathan Herrera or Matt Szczur on the Wild Card Game Roster.
If the Cubs are able to beat the Pirates and advance to the National League Division Series against the Cardinals, Joe Maddon can and will make changes to his active roster for the series
LOL was anyone just listening to 670 the score?
A bitter White Sox fan got a "fuckin" through on the air.

GO CUBBIES!!!
So excited about the game tonight. I wish this game thread was not garbage already. Maybe start a new one right before the game, just for the game.

If your suggestion doesn't get a response, Im sure it just "slipped" past me. Enjoy tonights game and like always, "Thank you for choosing CCS for all your message board needs.".
