I mean do we as fans have any choice other than to just give up on the Chicago Bears???

I still think he can grow and learn from a very rocky start to a very tough job and maybe the patience pays off and he is here for decades to come. I am giving him another coaching hire that is spearheaded by himself and the new team president instead of the assbackward way the McCaskeys handled the last go round.

If this coach flames out, so will this QB and so will this GM. Then flush the lot of them, rinse, repeat.

We can’t we all wish we could but we are like abused dogs, we have no where to go.

He sucks and at best he doesn’t completely screw up and Johnson/Caleb carry his ass. If he gets cute and hires the next Trestman I hope the Falcons have an opening next year.

This team is an incurable disease just like my herpes and if I could go back in time and not have fcked that girl I wouldn’t have, but here we are.

There are high quality coaches available that want their own GM and I really can’t blame them because despite the bears making a small step forward this year by firing an OC and then HC mid season, they are still on the same death spiral they always have been with QB HC not linked, and if the next HC fails for whatever reason (like a bad roster) he will be flushed with the GM.

I can’t blame some of these guys for wanting some control with GM not only for roster decision but now a new HC is coming into a situation with a GM on a tight leash.

I hope George hears the boos and chants and if they fck up this next HC hire yet again, he needs to be the one feeling the pressure

Ryan Poles is a kid playing at GM.

It was pretty clear from the beginning that he wasn't some innovator. It still may have turned out ok, but the number of people who praised him as some great young mind was pretty crazy, considering all it took was a few minutes of listening to him to see he was just a guy---nothing special.
Pretty much this. His appearances on the Macafee show this year were brutal. He always looks so uncomfortable. No personality, whatsoever. How does he pass an interview?

He already hired and fired the next Trestman My hope is that was a learning experience, but will concede my faith in his abilities is at an all time low.

I liken the Chicago Bears to cocaine. It was all the rage in the 80s, but now I just feel old and dumb taking part and it's probably really bad for my health.

Yeah he is horrible no sane person wants him to still be here. Does he even have any supporters left?
I had tried to be patient with Poles but he gave me no further reason to continue.

Not defending Pudge, but no "sure things" want to come coach here. The Bears' dysfunction has finally overruled any opportunity the job represents . . .
I think Ben Johnson is just using the Bears as leverage. I have serious doubts they end up reeling in anyone significant.

Fully expecting Monken to be announced as the next Head Coach.

I think it's time for a new GM with the new coaching staff. He has not been good enough. But my thought don't mean shit. I'm just a rider on a bus I'm stuck riding on. It's Da Bears or stop watching football. I will never support another team. I simply could not do it.

I'm really intrigued by Monken. He gives me Arian vibes. Just gets it done wherever he goes, is a fiery guy, and just hasn't been given a shot in the NFL.

Never attribute to arrogance- that which can be attributed to stupidity. Poles isn't cocky- he's just a dumb guy who can only recite football clichés.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
I wouldn't be upset if he was fired, At the same time, if he can manage to make the offensive line serviceable, and hires the right coach, I think this team will be much better off. He has the resources to "fix" the team in the offseason. Fingers fucking crossed. And don't ask me if I think he actually will fix this team. Lol.

I may be wrong but I think depending on the coach they hire he might be on a 1 year prove it deal going by what Chief Bullshitter Warren said about a year being a lifetime

Warren sounds pretty garbage too. he's higher up on the totem pole, which may be more detrimental.

the Bears go through a lot more GMs than presidents. something else to ponder.
