 There seemed to be a little animosity in the “this is kinda like looking at your x gf's facebook” thread, as well as others, regarding those who still want to talk about Ben Gordon and keep bringing him up. I personally find that to be completely ridiculous. This is a Bulls forum and Ben Gordon was a big part of this team. There are a lot of Bulls fans, including myself, who were extremely upset by the Bulls handling of the entire Ben Gordon situation. Those of us who are upset about it still harbor some hard feelings to the organization. Those feelings of anger become ignited when I experience nights as I did last night.
Last night I sat on my couch and watch the Bulls get their asses pounded, because they don’t have a single player on their roster who is a dependable scorer. When we were down by 30, I switch to the Pistons game. I proceed to watch their team suck and get pounded by Oklaholma City, however they stayed in the game because they had one player who put the team on his back and kept hiting crazy shots and getting to the free throw line, Ben Gordon. Ben was fouled hard in the second quarter while taking a jumper. He went into the floor face first and had a huge cut above his eye. Through that, he looked up with blood covered eyes to see if he made the shot …he did. He left the game to get 3 stitches, came back with a huge patch cover his right eye and proceed to take Detroit out of a 15 point deficit. The Pistons ended up loosing, because they suck, but they came back and had a opportunity to win, because of BG. At the conclusion of the Pistons game, I looked back at the Bulls boxscore and saw our FG%, 41% and our three point %, 13%. We certainly could of used Ben Gordon last night.
I am all about us having money next year to persue a major free agent, however, I am very upset that it had to come at Ben Gordon’s expense. I feel that there must have been some way to shed some other player and retain Ben, if the Bulls had made signing Ben a priority and worked on sheading some other player, like Kirk Hinrich, like they should of, over the last 3-4 years. It's not like we couldn't tell Ben was a great player from day 1, he won Sixth Man of the Year his rookie season for christ sakes!!! For the rest of this season, whenever we loose because we have no go-guy (or only 1 and he is in the making), I will come on here and post how pissed off I am because we would have had an opportunity in that game, if we still had Ben Gordon. I will do this, because bitching to all of you helps me control my anger, it’s thereputic! I will also be periodically posting about a Ben Gordon game or stat line, because I know that there are some in here, who like myself, find that to be interesting and relevant. Besides just a general hatred, I could of given two shats about the Pistons prior to this year. Now that they have my 2nd favorite Bull of all time , in his prime, I will watch the Pistons and root for Ben (even if it means the Pistons win a few more games because he keeps them in it). Even if it means that Ben beats us a few times. I don’t want us to loose by any stretch, but if we are going to loose to the Pistons, I would at least like it to be because Ben Gordon went off. Though he is no longer on the team, we watched him become the player that he is today for 5 pretty good years. From that, Ben became one of my favorite NBA players. Like I said, he is my second favroite Bull ever. I am interested to watch him perform in his prime and like many of you in here, will continue to keep tabs on him.........thank you very much!.....Oh and Happy Halloween everyone......
