 There seemed to be a little animosity in the “this is kinda like looking at your x gf's facebook” thread, as well as others, regarding those who still want to talk about Ben Gordon and keep bringing him up. I personally find that to be completely ridiculous. This is a Bulls forum and Ben Gordon was a big part of this team. There are a lot of Bulls fans, including myself, who were extremely upset by the Bulls handling of the entire Ben Gordon situation. Those of us who are upset about it still harbor some hard feelings to the organization. Those feelings of anger become ignited when I experience nights as I did last night.
Last night I sat on my couch and watch the Bulls get their asses pounded, because they don’t have a single player on their roster who is a dependable scorer. When we were down by 30, I switch to the Pistons game. I proceed to watch their team suck and get pounded by Oklaholma City, however they stayed in the game because they had one player who put the team on his back and kept hiting crazy shots and getting to the free throw line, Ben Gordon. Ben was fouled hard in the second quarter while taking a jumper. He went into the floor face first and had a huge cut above his eye. Through that, he looked up with blood covered eyes to see if he made the shot …he did. He left the game to get 3 stitches, came back with a huge patch cover his right eye and proceed to take Detroit out of a 15 point deficit. The Pistons ended up loosing, because they suck, but they came back and had a opportunity to win, because of BG. At the conclusion of the Pistons game, I looked back at the Bulls boxscore and saw our FG%, 41% and our three point %, 13%. We certainly could of used Ben Gordon last night.
I am all about us having money next year to persue a major free agent, however, I am very upset that it had to come at Ben Gordon’s expense. I feel that there must have been some way to shed some other player and retain Ben, if the Bulls had made signing Ben a priority and worked on sheading some other player, like Kirk Hinrich, like they should of, over the last 3-4 years. It's not like we couldn't tell Ben was a great player from day 1, he won Sixth Man of the Year his rookie season for christ sakes!!! For the rest of this season, whenever we loose because we have no go-guy (or only 1 and he is in the making), I will come on here and post how pissed off I am because we would have had an opportunity in that game, if we still had Ben Gordon. I will do this, because bitching to all of you helps me control my anger, it’s thereputic! I will also be periodically posting about a Ben Gordon game or stat line, because I know that there are some in here, who like myself, find that to be interesting and relevant. Besides just a general hatred, I could of given two shats about the Pistons prior to this year. Now that they have my 2nd favorite Bull of all time , in his prime, I will watch the Pistons and root for Ben (even if it means the Pistons win a few more games because he keeps them in it). Even if it means that Ben beats us a few times. I don’t want us to loose by any stretch, but if we are going to loose to the Pistons, I would at least like it to be because Ben Gordon went off. Though he is no longer on the team, we watched him become the player that he is today for 5 pretty good years. From that, Ben became one of my favorite NBA players. Like I said, he is my second favroite Bull ever. I am interested to watch him perform in his prime and like many of you in here, will continue to keep tabs on him.........thank you very much!.....Oh and Happy Halloween everyone......

The Celtics shot 58% and 50% from three ... it wasn't scoring that lost the Bulls the game. People need to let the BG thing go and not blame everything that goes wrong on it!

You act as if the Bulls didn't get their asses kicked with Gordon...the Celtics are a better team...much, much better and Gordon would have done nothing to prevent that. There were a lot of games where Gordon couldn't score and was helpless to watch the Bulls get destroyed. He was no savior...and he is not unstoppable...

And BG is not a great player. If he was he would have been a franchise player. He definitely was not that...he had a good career here, so did a large sum of players...talking about it is your choice. I just would rather talk about the team we have and enjoy the season.

Gordon will be missed on the road, but he won't be missed at home as all our players play 3
times better at home than road. If Rose can every be that guy to get us bucket whenever we need it he won't be missed anymore.

Also it's funny to complain about the Bulls shooting 41% ... on a night that Gordon shot 40% ...

Well Gordon has 22 in the third quarter tonight ha ha. He'd having a little shootout with Brandon Jennings.

I guess watching BG is something I'll do all year. But it's no different than what we do with other guys. I'm watching Durant and Brandon Roy and Andrew Bynum etc.

I'll probably never start another BG thread but I'll always comment on a current one.

Ya I was checking scores 20 minutes ago and Pistons were up 10, but Pistons blew it. Also 76ers somehow blew 20 point lead in the fourth and gave up 41 points to Knicks

I can't believe they signed him. They should have just signed Gordon and called it a day.

Pistons just don't have the firepower to win these games when Hamilton's out of the lineup. Ben Gordon has played his balls off (not literally) the last two games, all for naught.

Man does Stuckey suck. And he tries to be the number one option to make it even worse. I haven't seen him let anyone else shot down the stretch.

What they should of done is the Celtics trade of Allen and Rondo for Stuckey, Rip and Prince plus convince them to give them Big Baby in sign and trade. BTW last time I checked Villanueva had 8 boards thru 3 ganes. What a beast!!!!!

It made no sense for the celtics. They got an extra sf and a major downgrade at pg. They also got a worse fit at sg. It made all the sense for the pistons, clears major cap space and gets them a solid young pg.

I don't have a problem with that, I got league pass to watch all of the games. I especially watch games that my fantasy league players are involved in. I am watching Mavs/Clips now because I have Kidd and Camby...

I just don't want to hear the "we would have won this game if Ben Gordon was out there" stuff. Because it is simply not true in most instances...like the Boston game.

I feel that way about all the major sports teams I follow, the sox with various players, and the Bears with Kyle Orton (Mike North is nauseating when talking about this...his show got canceled by the way...).

Is it wrong? No, but it certainly does get old after a while. I understand that the way the organization and him handled things was quite poor, but it's not the end of the world if BG is not here. Would it be good to still have him? Absolutely. I just think there's too many extremes (BG "lovers" and BG "haters") on the board to bring him up and not have a huge argument about him.

From what I heard is that not alot of people in Cs organization are thrilled with Rondo attitude + Cs don't want to pay Allen type of money he wants

Rondo was offered a 5yr/45mil deal, don't think he took it. Right now he is an allstar caliber PG a notch above Rose, that would have been a big move for them...
