The difference between Nocioni and Gordon is two things.

In his last year with the Bulls, Nocioni was a horrible chucker who played no defense, who got a free pass from the media under the guise of "hard work" and "desire to win". In his last year with the Bulls, Ben Gordon was the best player on the team.

Since leaving the Bulls, so far this season, Andres Nocioni is averaging 7.3 points on 45.5 TS% while Ben Gordon is averaging 24.3 points on 63.9 TS%.

There is a difference between Nocioni and Gordon, and that is that Nocioni is expendable, and was probably hurting the team his last year here. Ben Gordon was the best player on the team.

I have much appreciation for what Nocioni did for the Bulls in his first three years, and his 2006 playoffs against the Heat was great. But it was time to move on from Nocioni because of his bad and disruptive play. It wasn't time to move on from Gordon. It was time to ride Gordon through his prime.

Gordon is also expendable...he is not critical to this team winning a championship...all of them are expendable except Rose. At one point on this team, Deng was the best player on the team...still expendable, despite some Bulls fans not thinking Deng should be traded...for Kobe.

I personally believe all of those players have reached their primes from the Bulls core.

I wouldn't hold your breath for a title anytime soon. this team lacks a commitment to winning. Since we are committed to Deng, Kirk and not paying the LT, this team will never get passed the 2nd round.

I wouldn't hold my breath either...but that is because of Lebron and Howard, not because of the LT. If Reinsdorf was willing to go over the tax to get Garnett and Kobe, he will go over to win a championship. Their problems have NOTHING to do with Reinsdorf and everything to do with personnel. That is not what Reinsdorf's responsibility is. He hires people to take care of that, he hired the wrong people.

I agree, the Bulls have not made the best personel decisions, I've been screaming this the whole off season, they should've looked at Von Wafer instead of Pargo, I like Pargo but it looks like he is tailing off as a player, it is dreaded curse of Norm Van Lier, its not a long tenure when a player wears that #2 jersey.

Came across this today & found it rather interesting.

From KC Johnson article:

Counting preseason, Bucks coach Scott Skiles has seen Ben Gordon's Pistons and the Chicago reporters who used to cover him three times each. Asked light-heartedly which one he was sicker of, Skiles took the bait.

"I like BG, but he causes problems for us," Skiles said. "You guys are a lot less problematic."
