He'll be a FA when he's 29 years old. Barring injury or unexpected attrition he's going to be paid handsomely. I couldn't even guess at the money at this point.

Somehow I thought it was to 32. I think if he waits til he's a FA it would be less than say he resigns at say age 27

Maybe. Trout is an interesting case in that he's playing for a team that has almost no chance of winning in the last 4 years of his deal. I can't imagine he'd entertain another extension.

Seems like the new adjustment to Bryant is to just accept the walk risk and hope he gets himself out by pitching around him.

He leading the league in HR, is in the top 5 in RBI's and is leading the league in WAR and runs scored and he's one of the best third baseman in baseball defensively. He's going to win the MVP after winning the rookie of the year last year. What more can the guy do to prove how good he is?

Its really unfortunate the Mike Trout is on one of the worst teams in baseball because he's as good as Bryant. He's leading MLB in OPS and OBP. He will probably wind up on the Yankees on 2021. They're one of the only teams who will be able to pay him $30M which is what Im sure his agent wants.

If you put Kris Bryant in CF he would not be as good a defender as Mike Trout is at the position and it wouldn't be close IMO.
