He is really good and I hope he stays healthy and plays with the Cubs for a decade.
Might cost $40 million per for that to be true.

But
Just thinking he might be able to ask for 30 40 mil in Arbitration towards the end of it if he keeps this up the next couple years..
Is there a certain minimum and maximum percentage required for ArB each year or just what each side feel is deserving.
If he wins MVP and all this year, can he ask for say 10 mil next year in ArB...

Dont recall anyone coming off ROY then MVP 2nd yr or even 3rd year..I think he can ask whatever he wants however, it usually doesn't go much more than 25% the all time hi for the given arb year IIRC

He making 600 grand now..
crazy to think they can just pay this guy under 5 mil per for next couple years..

It's not his MO unless the clients are HUGE than many times the clients tell Boras what to do and they take less. He's arb eligible after next year. There have been some rumors that he might actually be open to a deal. That's not Scott Boras' MO but ultimately he works for Bryant and he may just want to go that route. His demeanor and character suggest that there are things more important to him than money. That said the kind of money we'd be talking about might change anyone so in the end we'd all just be guessing. I'll say this though, if they offered him a 10 year/$300 mil contract right now and he accepted, they might be saving $200 plus mil in the end.

I think 10 year 300 million is a risk if they keep moving him around position by position. If they can keep him at one, done deal and worth the risk.
I'm not having this argument with you again as the last time I did the math and more than 50% of Boras star clients went the FA route. That said there have been some high profile clients that haven't which is why I suggested it. I'm not really in disagreement with you about the set position but I'm not sure either Bryant or the team wants that. Still I'm inking him to that deal without batting an eye. It was only a year ago when people were suggesting that Bryce Harper could get a deal worth 3/4 of a billion dollars in FA and while I think that was somewhat exaggerated, and likely suggested by Boras through back channels, $500 million for top players will probably be reached at some point.
Worse than Heyward's contract? Is that even possible?I'm looking forward to seeing who'll be the sucker who signs Harper to the worst contract in MLB history.

So, people can predict a fail on Harper's future contract which has yet to be created, but the empirical evidence on Heyward's existing contract indicates a current fail and you say not to make assumptions....lololololoHeyward has a long time to make good on his deal. Simmer down, it's getting kind of old.

Do you think Heyward contract is the worst ever? LOL Bobby Bonilla gets paid for not playing baseball.
Ok, so then you agree that Hayward's contract is ONE of the worst ever. I can live with that.Do you think Heyward contract is the worst ever? LOL Bobby Bonilla gets paid for not playing baseball.

From the idiot who brought you 'Dr. Loopyswing'...Omelete once again with over the top embellishments. Looking like a fool.
LIke I said, not the worst but a terrible deal the Cubs regretNot at this point, he made 15 million for base contract this year. Got a 20 million signing bonus. Long way to go in his contract before he is the worst or one of the worst. I think yout forget how many bad contract there have been.
