-sure there is iTunes, but for now my best purchase off of that was the America song from Team America.

Am I closed minded if I turn off any song that has a synthesized voice?
Everyone sounds like the same auto-tuned robot, from the same auto-tuned family, that eat the same auto-tuned tuna, and drink the same auto-tuned koolaid.

Only if you listen to the radio you may think today's music is bad. The way it seems to me is that all genre's are starting to sound alike. You probably would have to listen to an artist non radio songs to get quality music from them.
Dero is right. He is a musical goddess, so he knows his shit. I just get all my new music from him.
One thing that many of my friends say when I tell them that their music sucks, is that he/she's lyrics are the truth & stuff like that. Perhaps it's just me, but do lyrics really matter that much? I like good lyrics, but if the actual music sucks, then I'm not gonna listen to that shit, great lyrics or not.
It's not to say all synth music is bad, Daft Punk is pretty amazing.

This song just came out last year, love it.

Honestly it doesn't always matter, depends on what you're listening to.
Take Black Sabbath's Iron Man for instance, that song would be great regardless of what the lyrics are.
Then you got bands like Portishead and Radiohead where the actual lyrics are only like 10% of their appeal. I listen to Radiohead everyday and I still don't know what they're saying on half of the songs.
Exit Music for a Film
Paranoid Android
The National Anthem
the lyrics aren't what makes their best songs, just my opinion.
