And now with Wainright back on the team as far as leadership, and possibly Molina rejoining the team, they are still a scary out.
Beating Pittsburgh in a one game playoff is one thing. Stringing wins together or winning in a best of five series against a formidable pitching staff with an excellent relief core is another.
This is where it all gets tough, and the Cubs are going to face a slew of great pitching from here on out.
You want to take at least one in St Louis no matter how, or who does it.
The thing is the Cards have taken it in the rear this year with injuries. That added to the NL being just plain weak ass in general. Cubs punched them around as they should have by other teams if those teams had any punch to give.
It could be close but I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubs ***** slap them back into the 80's.
