I agree it makes sense to put it in the game thread. I just see no reason to post that he sucks repeatedly. We get it. You don't like him.
Perhaps you should consider your repetitious posts telling people what they should and shouldn't post.

I don't know him so I can't like or dislike him. All of his performances have flat out sucked so far and that massive contract that was given to him is starting to look like a dud. In today's game, he also left the bags loaded twice. I don't expect him to hit for squat but if he's not pitching for squat, and he's leaving the bags loaded, he's a loser plain and simple.

It's still early so I'm not going to jump off a building but this is bad, bad, bad.

Lol, a 6 year contract that'll probably include 170-180 starts is starting to look like a dud after 3 games...? :shot:

I guess you missed my last sentence where I said I'm not going to jump off a building yet. Gotta learn how to read brah.

As for your comment, it's never too early to evaluate a contract. He's sucked ass so far has he not?

Has he sucked? Not really. He's looked like a guy who did not have a proper ST. He looked much better yesterday, his velocity was there and his command was there more often than not. The next start is going to be key in seeing where he is. Don't get me wrong, he needs to be better, but watching him pitch he doesn't look like the tools are failing him or he's going over a cliff, he just looks like a veteran guy who hasn't connected all the dots yet.

Maddon needs to readjust his whole bench and that starts with getting rid of Ross. ...

Lake needs to be brought up...

Ill bet Alcantara goes down when La Stella returns or we just may see Russell sooner rather then later..

The bench is a mess and i said back before ST started that it was weak ...

First of all I'm not sure what good Lake does you and his numbers don't look like a guy being called up soon. Matt Szczur will probably be up more often than down but he and Denorfia share the same role and Denorfia is a veteran. As far as Ross I may intellectually agree with you but he is going nowhere so learn to deal. He actually works counts well and they love him behind the plate. This is a club that doesn't mind lack of offensive production from the C position and I think you have to resign yourself to that. I do think they have to trade Castillo soon though and if it's for less than they want so be it. The issue is they're not getting production from 2B and that has to be solved. Hopefully La Stella comes back healthy and productive but I wouldn't be shocked to see Russell sooner rather than laterals you say, particularly if Alcantara doesn't come around. I think they really, really want to get him past his Super Two date in June but it may not be possible. 2B needs to be solved soon. Oh and if Edwin Jackson isn't going to help at all then they need to cut him loose. I imagine there's a date where the money loss becomes acceptable but I kind of hope that's soon.

All in all the weekend was not a complete bust. This team can play but they can also struggle. That's what young, talented teams do. Pittsburgh will be a good test. I think they're about even with SD talent wise but the starting pitching isn't as good. an early lead might hold if the Cubs pitching cooperates.

Junior Lake: .241/.267/.276 27.5% SO. 3.4% BB. Dude is a bum and stop posting about bring up bums. He brings nothing to the team.

To be frank: Outside of Russell, there is nothing worth a damn going on in Iowa now that Bryant is on the mothership.

AAA: Place to hold injury reserve players. Place for final development for players you are viewing as long term. Not a resource well of talent.

That is what AAA is. If you want a strong bench then sign vets via F/A that are long in the tooth but proven. Being a part time player is a hazard for inexperienced players as they need the constant playing time to gain a rhythm. Part time roles are better suited for players that are already acclimated with the league. Like Denorfia and Ross.

Swear thank goodness that fans do not make team decisions.

Don't attribute Lake to me please. I don't want any part of him. As I said there's nothing in his numbers that says he could help this club.

Knowing that makes me wonder why he was on the mound opening night.

Bad series.

Bullpen was pretty bad in all 3 games. But it was the team's first series loss of the year and it took 2 weeks. Not bad.

Now lets take 3/4 from Pittsburgh.

I'm less optimistic. I'll be happy with a split. I think Pittsburgh is a better team and the Cubs are facing them at home. 3/4 could be a tall order. Tonight looks like one heck of a pitchers matchup.

And that last sentence ended with you saying "this is bad, bad, bad"... maybe you're not jumping off a building yet, but you're still badly overreacting.

Of course you can evaluate a contract early, but that doesn't mean the evaluation has any value...

I'd be happy with a spilt too honestly. But 3/4 sounds better. lol
