Don't worry. I will find it and prove him wrong yet again. It's actually becoming fun exposing his ignorance for others to see.

And lunatic? That is doing a disgrace to the word lunatic. :yep:

I honestly feel sorry for those people(you all know who I mean).

Melee has Castro up on the plate more to prevent him from pulling everything.

Russell was in Chicago with his Fiancé's childbirth.

Castro wants to go back to every day but Maddon is non committal.

Also they signed Bonnifacio again. Seems they want to add speed for the play offs. All I saw on him was DL oblique strain this year. That injury is getting more common now. I think that these players need to strengthen that area more in the offseason to prevent injury. All that torque from swinging is causing it.

I think its the opposite and they overdo the weights and training on these muscles ..

Back in the days, we didn't see players go on Dl with hammies, strains, and pulled muscles much cause their training consist mostly of running and stretching and not much weight lifting.

Seriously, that's the Castro we all came to know and love at the plate. Spraying the ball to all fields and hitting line drives, not dribblers to the SS or 3B. Hopefully he can continue that

Just shows you how wacky the game of baseball can be. I thought they had a real good chance to contend but like most everybody, I thought they were a year away. Never in a million years did I think they would be this good, this fast.

Also, as I've posted many times. if they do this it will be something no team has ever done before with 4 rookies with over 300 PA in the lineup (Schwarber is very likely to reach that number). None of the previous teams have made the postseason and only 4 have won as many as 86 games. this is a special bunch we have here.

I suppose that works but here are some numbers:

The Cubs are 18-4 (.818) in August, 26-7 (.788) since the ASB and 33-12 (.733) since July 1. They are the best team in baseball in the second half.

Should the Cardinals be worried?

We've gained, what, 3 games on them in that span? It's not like they are sucking either. Same thing with the Pirates. We've gained like 2 freaking games on them.

I don't think so. Pittsburgh has an off chance at the division but I'd be shocked if the Cubs jumped them both. The Cubs have 6 games remaining with St. Louis. Realistically the best you would hope for there is 4-2 picking up 2 games. The Cubs have a tough schedule from here on out. I think the best to hope for overall is 24-14 and that's likely high considering the absurd winning percentages they've been putting up lately. The law of averages and all that. I'd like them to play that WC game in Wrigley. The thinkg is I'd also like to face the Cardinals in that game which would be on the road so if the team can't catch the Pirates I do think them catching St. Louis would be in our best interests. I think I would definitely favor the Cubs chances in a 5 game series against Pittsburgh better than I would against the hated Cardinals. This is all putting the cart ahead of the horse though. For now just win baby win.

You remember my preaching there will be ups and downs and never get to high. Well, **** it, this team is rolling. They are like a HS team. Just playing ball and banging brauds. Lets catch those fucking Cardinals!

They also said that when they went 20-5 in a 25 game span, that they made the playoffs, and it only happened twice prior to this year.

I'm kind of there too, I'm just holding on to that last barrier where I don't see them catching the Cardinals but, as you say, **** it let's get it done! This is a fun ride.
