We had a run in and bases loaded without a decent hit. Caratini's dribbler was the only hit. They have two defensive miscues. Happ coming through was much needed.

OK....let's bring this home.

After less than stellar first outings, both Lester and Darvish were terrific in their second starts. We really need to see this a lot from Darvish. That would be huge.

And at the end of 162, we will have one of the higher scoring teams in the league. But the wild inconsistency was present all of 2017. It is not 8 games. You can laugh, but nobody who watches this team thinks this issue has only been present for 8 games.

I like that a lot of guys can hit a HR. But the offense needs to not rely solely on HRs.

(I would love a HR from Baez here, but we need a guy not swinging for one right now.)

In eight games, we will have been shutout twice, and scored only on a solo HR twice - one of which was 17 innings.

I agree...

This is stuff we were seeing all of last year..

Yea 8 games in this year and were seeing the same players struggling again with RISP and situational hitting..

Long balls are great when they happen, but they dont always happen.. sometimes you need to just do the little things to win a game..
