LaStella a nice utility player to have..

He and Cogs from the left side next year would be nice to have..

Yes, they would make a real nice bench. So much better than what we started this year with.
But Cogs will keep finding his way into the lineup a lot as well.

I would hope so..
that means he being productive and able to give starters rest at 4 positions against tough RHers. .

I thought it was bad that the Cards announcer was whining about a review down 9-0.

But Matheny - who challenges every play in every game - is actually going to try and review this.

Cubs will be 2 back of Pirates and at least 8 up in the WC. (Assuming the Mets don't blow a three run lead over the Nats in the 9th)

Nice.

Nice.

They are an absolute lock for the wild card game. Just a matter of getting home field now!

But Cogs will keep finding his way into the lineup a lot as well.

In the stroll down memory lane, does anyone remember when we had players like Mather, Barney, Stewart, Volstad, LaHair, Corpas, DeWitt, B-Jax, Campana, Koyie Hill, Beliveau, Camp, Maine, Lopez, Rodriguez, Vitters, Marmol, Raley, and Rusin a few years back?

I'd like to know if other teams have gutted it to the core and rebuilt it this fast? I can't remember any off hand but I am sure their are some. I just know that teams like the Pirates, Nationals, Royals, Mets and others have taken a lot longer to do so, and some of those teams took over 20 years.

I think it is a testament to the job this front office has done in rebuilding it with youth, and not having to go after a ton of free agents.

It also speaks volumes to the scouting and developing departments seeing just how young they actually are.

Good times are ahead folks. :fap: :fap: :fap: :fap: :fap: :fap:
