I'm thinking that they would. Wade is a pro closer. Goes in and shuts the door. No BS drama. Teams pay for that.

I obviously could be wrong but could see the average annual amount being similar but not the total years. So something like 3 yrs and 45-51 million assuming he stays healthy.

Rizzo took his frustrations at the plate in to the field there. Inexcusable lack of concentration.

His clock is delayed. It's May 13th.

Honestly I"m sorta glad he gets a short call up. That way we at least get a look at him in the majors prior to july which could be important.

Gotta figure either him or Baez getting moved for a SP at deadline..

So, their either giving him a brief showcase or a taste to be ready for them , come time they make a deal

If Butler works out they need to do nothing until after the season ends. Even then Mills looked as good until he hit the DL. He works out this year also it just lessens then need to do any thing but sit on their excess depth.

Thing is, if they have an opportunity to get a young controlled starter like Archer at deadline ..
