Heyward has a better arm than any Bears QB ever...which isnt saying much
Yea, these announcers are rubbing one off for the Cardinals tonight..lolThey gave credit to Pham on a ball he played off his chest - a play every CF makes. And they mentioned, during that replay, that he earlier made a nice leaping catch on a ball hit by Heyward. Pham came in on that ball, and had to leap to prevent it from going over his head.

I like David Bote...
Hope they keep him for next year

Except Bobby Douglas
You mean Happ not a good choice for 3B..lolI don't know how good Bote can be over a long haul, but I don't think we could have asked for more while filling in for Bryant.
I wouldn't say they had a war like mentality tonight, not even close...I didn’t get to see the game but from what I read seems that they went to war tonight and that is the mind set they need. First 2 games they didn’t have the killer instinct.

They had 1 crooked number scoring inning that was opened up by an error
Hendricks rebounded well after the first and looked liked his old self
Other then that it was a typical 3 hour game

Hopefully that outing frees up Hendricks to go do what he does the rest of the season. He kept hitters off balance. If he can get squared away and Hamels is a bit better in Chicago than he was in Texas, that will go a long way for this team's tun down the stretch.
If Hendricks pitches like that from here on out, Cubs will have the Central locked up with 2 weeks to go.
Hendricks in his last 5 starts:
3.00 ERA, 2.90 FIP, 2.80 xFIP, 1.13 WHIP, 9.3 K/9, 1.2 BB/9
He's going to be just fine.
