San Diego Padres traded LHP Brad Wieck to Chicago Cubs for RHP Carl Edwards Jr..

That should be a strait 40 man swap. They might DFA Wieck and tuck him into the system. Steel is another guy they might DFA. His value has dropped too.

He is pretty close to Grenkie in ability right now. Zach has a better curve but that is about it.

He actually pitches like a power pitcher. He challenges hitters up in the zone which he used not to do. He started doing it because of the launch angle craze and realized high fastball are devastating to this new age hitter.

Interesting his first 2 batters he was 4 seem dominate. 3rd hitter attacked with his 2.

Vs Goldy all sinkers. Think that was more so respect. DeJong sinker then change up. Wong switched it up to change up as his main pitch with a curve and a 4. O'Neill started with a 4 then hammered him with change ups.

They really have no clue with that happening.

It was kind of a fucked up play. Baez had to range over and the positioning was funky. He tried to throw out Mikolas. He wouldnt have got him, but Mikolas grabbed Bote arm on purpose when the ball was coming. I have never seen someone do that.
