Cant watch strike three with a runner on third and less than two out.
Juan Pierre? He never had a season as good as he had with the Cubs 2006 by WAR the rest of his career. I thought of him as a mirage, he always looked better than he was.
Don't know who is a bigger rally killer: Soler or 4-3
Talk to Heyward about his redundant playing. I just echo what I see. Wear a helmetEven on a day when Heyward isn't playing, this forum gets filled with your redundant crap
Over and over and over.
Do you think posting about him will change him?
Yea.. Maddon playing this game like it's a game 7That is weird. Maddon pulls Hammel. Hammel is pissed. This is kind of weird.

Second rough start for Hammel
Right here shows the direction Maddon going to go come Playoff as far as who he chooses to start a game if needed between Hammel and Hendricks..
I really don't think Maddon likes Hammel much and part of why I don't think Hammel will be back next year

Either Hammel is cramping or Maddon is sending him a shot across the bow. Makes no sense to manage this like a playoff game. The Cubs don't have a meaningful game until October.Yea.. Maddon playing this game like it's a game 7
Interesting to see what he and Hammel will say about this after game

Eh.. Not reallyIt would be crazy not to pick up his option though. Maybe trade him in the spring. $10 mil for a starter that gives you that many innings is a steal.
Eh.. Not really
He gonna be 34.. He doesn't give that many innings..
He AVG like 5 to 6 innings per start
They can get a younger fresher arm for less then 10 mil
that could get them those innings or more as a 5th starter

They had this kid on the ropes but let him off the hook. That bunt call in the first was kind of a brain dead move when you consider how much trouble they have getting that guy in from third.
That would be ideal if it could work out that way..The Cubs can get a younger arm for less, especially if you think Montgomery could be your #5 starter next year, but another team might not be able to get a pitcher of his caliber for less money. I'm just saying pick up the option and move him if you want. He'd probably get a 2 year at $25 mil on the open market.
