Bunch of diva's. They will get hot again. Any team flirting with a .700 winning percentage should be praised. Ommy I made a great scrambled egg tonight. I thought about you the whole time. Not to be weird or anything.

The wheels are coming off and it's not the break yet. I am already seeing this team fade into infamy with the '69 Cubs.

Are you out of the hospital yet from that face burning thing from Wednesday?

You guys are too funny. So they lost 4 in a row. So what? Better teams have lost way more games. They still have an insurmountable lead in the Central and when they start winning again everyone will go back to normal. This is not the 69 Cubs for cripes sakes!! The Cardinals are not the 69 Mets. I knew this would happen. They get cold and everyone starts thinking crazy. You guys have to relax. I don't care if they lose 10 in a row. Their pitching staff is the best in the majors and one of the best ever. Epstein will get them some bullpen help cause that's all they need. Teams cannot win every game. And once they win the WS we can start talking about their place in history. With Fowler back things will start clicking again. Trust me. Once this season is over people will be talking about the 2016 Cubs with the 39 and 27 Yankees and every other great team. Until then let's shelf all the talk about this best ever business. That was perhaps premature. But if they continue to win 70% of their games like they have most of this season they will go down as one of the best teams ever. I have seen enough to tell me this is one of the best teams I have ever seen.

Cubs fans need to significantly lower their expectations about this team.

They are not odds on favorites to win the WS just one of 8 good teams in contention.

They could easily get swept again in the playoffs this year

Yes they are. Last time I checked they are 4-1 favorites to win the World Series in Vegas. That there is this type of reaction to a small losing streak shows how great they are. Anyone with half a brain would not lower their expectations about a team based on FOUR GAMES!!!

Not having La Stella off the bench has hurt this team more than most think. Coghlan was brought in primarily to be a replacement left handed bat off the bench in La Stella's absence. La Stella hits for contact and is valuable in close game late. If it was La Stella up last night instead of Coghlan we very well may be having a different discussion today.

Man you need to relax. The Cubs are far and away the best team in MLB this year. They are not going to get swept in the playoffs because they lost four games in a row. You don't start jumping out of windows based on a losing streak. Or maybe you do. I kind of wish you would, please. :)

Yes I do. Do you? The guy said the Cubs aren't the odds on favorites to win the World Series this year and the fact is they are and have been since spring training. Don't let the facts get in the way of your opinion.

You shouldn't be surprised, Mr. Cub was shoveling dirt on them in late August of last year after a bad West Coast trip. He is this forum's preeminent Chicken Little.

1) They have not been the Vegas Odds to win since spring training. At one point the Giants were tied with them.
2) He did not mean the literal Cesar's Palace odds.

So I ask again, do you know?

Hmmm, 4 game losing streak.

Soler? Hurt.
Foler? Hurt.
Rizzo? Hurt.
La Stella? Hurt.

No crap we lost a couple of games. It means absolutely nothing. We are the best team in baseball and our guys will start to get healthy. Nobody is catching us in our division.

Think it is more about L/R/L

Almora not surprising. I was figuring he would get the Russell treatment.

Heyward is a little surprising. Not really feeling it.

Coghlan hitting 5. No justification other than a LH bat

add to it you are taking your top RBI guy and hitting him 2.

See what happens but they should be going Heyward, Russell, pitcher, Almora at the bottom.

At the top of the order you have to go with Zobrist and Bryant. Conteras hitting #4. Why not. Kid is hitting. Baez should be starting. Cog is a roster waste. I would rather see Murtain up to see if Japan was a joke or not. Worth the time invested alone. Hit him #2.

Im not surprised. The fact is even the best teams ever have lost 4,5,6,10 in a row and still won it all. We all just need to relax and let the team get back to kicking people's asses cause you know its coming. The team has the best starting pitching in MLB by a wide margin. We need to take a breath and realize that a bad stretch of games happens to EVERY TEAM. :)

What are you talking about? Read this article.

http://espn.go.com/chalk/story/_/id...er-spring-training-favorites-win-world-series

Says Cubs enter spring training as the odds on favorite to win the Worlds Series and that no other team has been even in single digits. The Giants were at best 12-1. The Giants are playing great ball now but they're hot now and you can see how streaks go. If the playoffs started today I would be worried. But with more than 1/2 the season to go there's a lot of baseball to be played.

Im talking about the sports book in Vegas. And everyone of the experts in baseball was picking them as their favorite in the Spring. I have watched almost every game and stay current on MLB and other sports.

I couldn't agree with this more. Why is a guy who hasn't been hitting hit weight leading off? He should be moving down in the order rather than up. I don't understand why Maddon has so much faith in Heyward. I really hope the guy starts hitting but at what point do you bench the guy in favor of Almora or even Soler when Fowler and Soler come off the DL? Time on the bench might help him. Nothing else is seemingly doing anything for the guy.
