What I'm taking out of this line up experiment:

Bryant's OBA is the fuel. Almora and Heyward were not a factor.

Contreras needs to play every day. Even if he is at 1B or even LF. His bat is impact.

Cog needs to lead off. 1 for 2 with 2 BB. It is all he is doing right now. His OBA is over .400 with the Cubs so you have to exploit it. Him hitting #5 and taking a BB is really not mattering.

I would have to say after Rizzo gets back Contreras takes priority over Baez. Better complete hitter. Love Baez but he has some holes to his game still and he is much better coming off the bench.

Almora being sent down.....Contreras playing 3rd while Baez sits......more great insight on the forum tonight.

Love seeing Contreras start off so well. But if they play him at 3rd and sit Baez, someone should have their head examined.

And while Contreras has been a real nice addition - and I hope to see a LOT of him for a long time - let's not forget that Baez has done very well this month while getting more playing time.
