See? Not letting the fanbase know if/when a game will start until 5 minutes prior is just a lack of respect for the fans.
You need twitter. lol

Yep. What pisses me off is that, if I want to see the game status, I have to sit here and just keep flipping over to the "Delayed" slide on the Extra Innings channel for this game, or keep pressing F5 over and over on the website. Every single mother ****** in Chicago and Washington may know exactly when the game is likely to start, but if I go take a shit, or go to the convenience store for something, I might miss some of it.
If I want to watch the game, I want to watch it from beginning to end. I'm not a casual "Oh, I'll keep it on in the background and look up if the crowd roar gets loud" kind of fan. But the *only* means I have to get information are those which won't indicate any pending change to the rain delay status until the home team is about to take the fucking field.
I want to be able to plan the rest of my Saturday afternoon, even though I am in great pain and cannot do much (one week post-op and the incisions and such still hurt like hell). **** it, if it's going to be another two hours, I want to know if it's cool to go lie down for a nap? Or will I miss most of the first game if I do so because they're about to start?
This is just frustration from being kept in the dark over skinny that shouldn't be all that hard to share with the Xebble-plux on Altair 17, let alone people on the same fucking contintent. But, by all the gods, they can't figure out how to share it effectively with some poor piece of shit like me, sitting in Minneapolis... *loud grumble*...
How, exactly, are they supposed to notify you?
Should've gone Laparoscopic.....far less invasive. 4 small incisions with one in your navel....was nasty when I woke up but they started a morphine drip and I was fairly pain free about an hour later. Morphine is one amazing pain mask. The next reality came when I got home and had to survive without the morphine....those 2 or 3 days sucked but after that I was fine and back to work a week later. My wife is a nurse and she was quite insistent that I don't go the traditional route....if that's the way you went, I feel for you.
Wasn't actually my decision. The plan going in (so to speak) was laparoscopic all the way, with absorbable mesh. Surgeon wasn't able to do it this way based on what he found once he opened me up, so I ended up with pig collagen holding the ends of the hernia together and a new eight-inch incision up and down my belly. I won't know exactly all that went down until I get my follow-up appt a week from Monday. But this is a lot more painful than it would have been had we been able to follow the original plan... sigh...
The oxycodone levels are messing with my mood, obviously. I'm trying to wean off ASAP, here -- I hate feeling like I'm not at home inside my own head -- but man, it is running on the high-pain side, still. Unless I stay perfectly still. Which ain't possible over any reasonable stretch of time.
He should have gone with a bullpen game....I mean that's what it's turning into anyway. Scherzer has only thrown 41 pitches...with a 3 run lead, he'll go 9 if need be.
