Steve Shitshow, ladies and gentlemen!

Thanks for the comeback, offense, but Joe just has to go with shitshow.

Two walks, and leaves him in to walk in the tying run. Guy has a delivery that is horrible.

Why in God’s name do you leave this ****** in the game????
To be fair he was good last year. But to keep him in there when he clearly had no control with the bases loaded and 1 out is pretty stupid.

Looked like he didn't want to be out there pitching anymore, just wanted to get it over with. Cheese-N-Rice!

More of a I don't believe that the Cubs will pay him so I'd rather see a good haul than to see him walk.

We were down 5-2 after the 2nd.
Yeah. And we scored eight runs. You’re praising a pen that allowed four.

Thanks zo for the lazy throw that allowed a five run inning.

He never has any fucking control. he’s got that fucking sidearm delivery that leads to 75% of his pitches being outside by a foot

And if Bryant doesn't look like casper the ghost while a little dribbler goes past him into the hole we won the game in the 8th. Dude needed to dive for that ball and he looked completely uninterested.

And I don't think that's the word. If the bullpen takes over the game that early we aren't coming back most of the time. I have no faith in this pen.

Joe Maddon has to go. The organization was lucky to win the WS in spite of his stupid moves. They are starting to look like the Cubs of old in the way they collapse at the end of what appears to be a decent season. Theo will probably be cleaning house this off season. They need to rebuild their farm system by trading some of the prima donnas who don't seem to give a shit anymore and aren't hungry to win again..

Rain away, but I cant see Cishek being that bad and actually throwing strikes in the pen warming up. Look skipper, he does not have any control tonight, we better get someone else up.
If that were Chatwood, Wick, Wieck, Underwood, Norwood, Hendricks he would have been pulled with the first walk, if not the second. To allow him to throw three is just exactly how Maddon manages a bullpen.

They scored eight runs This game should’ve been over in the Cubs favor by now

And watching him sign as a F/A like Harper is smart? Ill bet that the Nat fans wish they would have gotten someing out of him.

Bandit is not far off but.

Happ not much trade value. Not a established player.
Russell does have trade value.
Bryant could get 2 top 100 prospects.
Schwarber has trade value

It is not about trading away a quality player or good guy. It is about are you are to pay the man and if you do can you afford to build around him. I would say no at this point.

Sure they could do what the Nat's did and sit on their guys and watch them walk. Get some 3rd round draft picks that most likely never pan out.

I just see this off season as a time for change. Joe out Joe G in. They retool the team with more contact guys and then extend Baez. The only way Bryant stays is if he takes a Heyward type contract.

I was just glad that they battled back to even make this game watchable. Q did not control the damage after Zo blew a throw that should have ended the inning. After that he unraveled.

So Cishek is a f/a til the end of the year. Might as well get your $ out of his arm. I don't expect the Cubs to win squat this year myself. I'm here to see Nico play.

I'm pretty sure that the knee issue limits his mobility. He had to take a shot to just play today. His knee has been a ongoing issue in the 2nd half and it finally got to the point that he needed to get treatment.

Wanting to trade away Chris Bryant is just absolutely stupid there’s really no other word for it it’s just stupid
Thinking trading Bryant is stupid shows a complete lack of awareness of how his contract situation is going to unfold, as well as the state of this team the last couple years

It is fair to say that. But we don't know who they had left in the pen at this point.

Chatwood dominated for 3 innings, Ryan got i/3rd of an inning, walked 1, Phelps got 1/3rd of an inning, walked 1, Kintzler got 1/3rd of an inning walked one 3 hits, 2 earned runs. He stretched Wick for 2 innings

That would mean, Holland, Huitzen (who was dominant), Mills, Norwood, Underwood and Wieck were in the pen with Strop.

Wieck faced 1 hitter Monday, Mills, Holland and Norwood got one inning each on Monday, So you totta think Hultzen, Underwood and Wieck were still available. Use Hultzen to get thru the 10th and Underwood if a few are needed.

Just guarantee if it was a kid they would have been pulled after the first walk.
