In a game where runs are at a premium and you are fighting for your season...it's basically conceding the inning when you might not even have another shot at scoring. Like Len and JD said..."in hindsight". It's a tough call for a manager of course....but given the situation the team is in? It may end being it was their best chance to score. Hope not. Still a little ways to go. We'll see.

Cubs aren't scoring...each run is precious in a game like this. It's obvious this is one of those games where a run or two can win it. As we are witnessing before our eyes. Can't win if you can't score ANY runs.

This team in real danger of finishing in 3rd place....even after Milwaukee loses Yelich. But the excuse will be "we lost Javy". Even though we had Javy the entire season and still did nothing. The Cards are begging us to get closer but we can't even beat San Diego for gawds sake. Still 6 outs to go....but....

Wow. There it is. Dear lord this is painful, The whole season. Tied with Brewers now....could very well finish in 3rd place in division. With all this supposed "talent" Cubs have. I'm so sick of hearing phrases like "championship fiber" or "Cubs are easily most talented team in the division" etc etc etc. Jeez. It was obvious after NOT winning division last year Cubs weren't the best in division...maybe 3rd place will finally end this myth and the team can move forward with some real players.
