Alzolay- Meh
Cedeno- complete waste of money
Chatwood- HA
Cishek- contract is up wave goodbye
Darvish- showing signs when healthy, also aren't getting rid of the contract
Graveman- more wasted money
Hamels- 1st half okay he was good but since he came back yikes. He shouldn't be back
Hendricks- I still don't get why Joe doesn't trust this kid. He always has a short leash.
Holland- Give me a break
Hultzen- we will see
Kimbrel- I don't like the contract and I think he will continue to regress, but with how the pen has been all year Theo didn't really have a choice
Kintzler- Can't complain too much.
Lester- Ace no more but he's still a good back end starter
Maples- meh doubt he ever figures out how to throw a stike
Mills- Meh throwaway long man
Morrow- talk about a waste of money
Norwood- Don't see much
Q- Just remember what we gave up for him to be this meh.
Ryan- He isn't that great. Situational at best
Steele- Honestly don't know anything about him
Strop- Good god what happened after his injuries
Underwood- idk he could be an edwards jr type
Webster- blah
Wick- Potential maybe
Wieck- meh
that's every pitcher on the 40 man.

wow, was Theo pissed and completely frustrated on his score interview this morning.

Two years in a row of players not playing to their potential with a few Joe controls on field decisions.

Buh bye Joe.

Cubs aren't scoring...each run is precious in a game like this. It's obvious this is one of those games where a run or two can win it. As we are witnessing before our eyes. Can't win if you can't score ANY runs.
The Cubs lost 4-0. The run you wanted them to score didn’t matter.

This is what I don't get, we play great at times. And then I don't know what happens, we have a stint of 3-4 games where we are just phenomenal and then we drop the ball. I am not so sure about getting rid of Maddon, just because I don't believe it all comes down to wins and losses. I would have to agree with you on getting Lester though. I think he's reached his peak. I think we need to spend more time on our up and comers. I do think we also need to get rid of Hamels. After his performance in Philadelphia. OMG how ridiculous. Darvish has showed some real promise at least since after the All Star break, I think our offense can be there, but I don't know what gets in our heads after winning the 3 -4 game winning streak. I would like to think our playoff chances aren't over but it isn't looking good for us. We keep blowing our chances when the teams that we need to lose, lose and we lose as well. Like I said I still think Maddon is a great manager, I just really think our bullpen needs work. We have some real great starters, its a matter of getting some pitchers in to hold our scores. BUT that's just my opinion.
You should be sure of getting rid of Maddon. I really enjoy Joe. He’s a great manager and great baseball guy. This team needs a different voice putting the lineup together.

It's just another Cubs end of season choke job. We've seen it many times before. Nice to have 2016 though...but now it's back to the same ole end of season routine.
We have? They tended to choke in June.

So much cunting in this thread. Ok, we can all agree that barring an extremely unlikely scenario this team isn't winning the WS this year.

Disappointing for sure, but please give it a rest with the whiny misery, it's just fucking baseball.

As always you miss the point and just cloud-yell some more all-capped nonsense.

And please remember your place: poor white trash living in a shithole town with no assets other than a 401k (LOL) and a POS audi.

I agree. A lot of the dolts in here treat the Cubs not winning as a major catastrophe. The reality is that it's a bunch of millionaires playing a kids game. If it's so damn painful to watch....don't watch. The crying and moaning....the blow it up crap....nobody that can do anything about that is here. And the most laughable part is the fact that if they do absolutely nothing and leave things exactly as you see them today.....these same dolts will be right back for more next year.

Rizzo back to leadoff today with his .400 on base.

Happ gets second base today.

Is it a smart idea to have a high obp guy at the top of the order?

preferably not a turtle, or a snail, but since we are just waiting for the home run, I guess it does not matter how he runs the bases.

I'm talking '69....a few years in the 70's...then Dusty's teams after 2003. I'm not entirely sure exactly how it went down...but I seem to recall two straight years where we had a shot and just imploded at the end. Then last year. We were up how many games on Milwaukee? Now this year....had a big lead on Milwaukee at least....now it's the same thing. We lose...and they go on big streak. This...without Yelich. I don't have all the exact numbers of when the previous meltdowns actually started.
