Two things...

Why do closers always suck when they aren't closing a game?

4 walks issued tonight....all 4 scored, they just might want to avoid the free fucking passes

Lol.. do some of you guys think relievers are suppose to be 123 perfect every game?

Rondon has 29 saves a 1 ERA a 1 Whip but he loses a game and he sucks they need to find a closer for next year...

It happens, their not always going to be perfect. .

Their going to lose games cause of bad SP, or no offense, or bad defense, or bad bullpen, or combo of them. .

This team isn't playoff bound because any of those 4 suck, their playoff bound because they've all been good for most of the year. ..

They don't need to be perfect but they need to step up to the challenge.

Walking that many by Grimm was the tale of the day. They need to figure what is going on with him.

Justin grimm fine..

that was just the 3rd time he allowed runs in last 24 appearances. . Just happens to be 3 in last 7, and if Rizzo fields that easy grounder he gets out of that inning with zero runs. .

Yes he walked 3, he combined for 4 walks in previous 23 appearances. . He just didn't have it yesterday. ..

Like i said, these guys aren't going to be perfect every game.. he had a tough game, like a good hitter going 0-4 with 3 Ks it happens over course of season.

wish these guys would bunt on that shift. .

Baez had that whole right side to push a bunt with 1st basemen playing back and towards 2nd..

Agree and I have been saying the same about Rizzo. There has been numerous times when with a runner on base and less then 2 outs he should bunt against that swift. it accomplishes a couple of things like moving the runner up, likely getting a hit and making the other team think twice about applying that drastic of a swift again, thus opening up hitting lanes.

Good in theory. But, remember, its not as easy to do as to say. Also, read managers prefer their sluggers to try to slug then just get on base. I get your premise and do agree from time to time but its not easy to do and you are taken away a big part of their game.

I believe it is a SHIFT.

That would be correct, except Haren has had a tough game in almost all of them with the Cubs as his 5 + ERA with them indicates. ..

So I think we can put the Cubs as a sure thing 2nd wild card team now..they're not going any higher or lower. Any bad performances from players we already know suck shouldn't bother us over these last 20 games.

Man, Phillies have our number. Then again, it's hard to win with Home Run Haren pitching.
