At beginning of season i mentioned the Cardinals age could slow them down the 2nd half with some injuries and getting tired..
Was hoping that would come about around August but it looks to be happening now.. hopefully it not too late

Travis Wood to start tonight because of uncertainty with the weather. Harden moved to tomorrow.

Didn't Wood pitch an inning last night? If the weather holds, this might be an all bullpen game. At least Monday is an off day....be nice to have everyone good to go in the twin bill in Pitt on Tuesday.

Someone Tweeted that he'll only pitch 4 innings max.

That bullpen loss Wednesday hurts more and more every day

Cards drop both games in the DH today. Only 5 games back now, should be 3

Pirates only 3 GB STL

I don't even know if winning the WS would bring me more satisfaction than beating STL in the WC game this October.

I hope the Cubs can keep scoring runs as I got feeling we'll be seeing every marginal pitcher in the dugout tonight.

Just looked at Philly's weather....they might not even get this one started. Thunderstorms till 8:00 and constant light rain till 11. Looks like another DH'er tomorrow.

Maddon had planned for that tomorrow, being an all bullpen game..

Guessing we see wood wada and richards the first 7 innings

Think it will be Wood for 2 then either Wada or Cahill depending on the hitters up coming. Wada should be good for 2-3 innings. Then letting Richard soak a inning of 2.

This will most likely be a day off for the pen regs also unless it is a tight game where they need Rondon to close.

Travis Wood did his job to perfection ..

Hitters need to get it going and make it easier for rest of pen as they get to 3rd time through the order..

Don't see the point in taking out Wood after three scoreless innings.

Rizzo might need a day off....been seeing him look at hittable pitches, then swing at stuff in the dirt. It's been going on for a few games now...give him a day off. Although, his defense would be missed as much as his bat.
