My favorite teams
Grimm's stuff is too good to be struggling right now.
What was Maddon thinking taking Lester out of a game with less than 100 pitches? Yikes.

Later in the year, it will be Edwards on the mound.Later in the year, we'd look back and wonder why he had to keep a starer in with a 6-0 lead.

Yes. A pitcher isn't going to be taking Soler's spot, if they are already short by having three catchers and an extra pitcher.Edwards taking Soler's roster spot will lead to one short bench.

Almora makes sense if they move Fowler to left. Just the range covered alone is worth it.
We haven't heard much about Fowler's hand. Hopefully he doesn't miss time as well.
It's being widely reported now that Almora is on a plane to Philadelphia as a precaution pending Soler's MRI.
I'm curious to see him against more advanced pitching. I've heard some who follow prospect-y stuff suggest he's not walking much because pitcher's aren't challenging him. In other words, he's not having to be patient because he's often finding what he thinks is a good pitch to hit. And given he's hitting .318 I can see that side of the argument. I'm also curious to see the god-tier defense the cubs might throw out with Almora/Fowler/Heyward in the outfield. That seems like the place where flyballs go to die.
Also I believe the cubs are still at 37 on the 40 man and Almora would need to be added to that.

No kidding. That backfired.Confidence. His issue as I see it, confidence. That will come with time. Why else does Maddon stick him in a game against a bad team with a 5 run lead. Confidence building exercise.
At least that's my take.
