Couple of lucky breaks. 2-0
Yeah but I'll take it. Especially they way they have been playing lately.

Cubs lately have been weird. They pitch well but can't hit. They hit well then their pitching lets them down.

Lackey obliterated. Wow! Let the great sell off of 2016 begin.

Interestingly enough, our historic collapse might be the best thing that happens to us. We have a loaded farm system that is about to get even more yoked.

When all our young guys hit their prime, I would not be surprised to see us win multiple WS's.

But still can't hide my disappointment that we aren't a playoff caliber team in 2016.

In hindsight, Theo probably shouldn't have brought so many pieces from the Chicken n Beer Red Sox. The same players collapsed again.

Long term, I'd still take our young core over PIT or STL. It'll be interesting to see if Maddon see's the end of his contract or if we hire somebody to finish the job.

How does Heyward not catch that..

Did I see that wrong?
Looks like he let up and let it drop at his feet

Anyone else think Heyward could've caught that ball with a little more hustle?

You definitely can't blame Rizzo for the Cubs woes of late.

Are you even reading my posts? Im a heck of a lot closer to being a homer than a troll. I've repeatedly said we're winning a WS with this core. Not sure what troll would say that?

It's very fair to say Theo brought over multiple players from the Red Sox team that collapsed - and history repeated itself.

I'm allowed to be profoundly saddened and disappointed by this. It's shocking. I'm just looking forward to the day we finally break through. And it WILL happen.

That Russell at bat seems about par for the course for the cubs the past bit.

Way too early to claim history has repeated itself..

This is really sickning...

Get the lead , give up lead

Tie the game, give it up

Offense leaves runners on 3rd, pitcher gives up runs right after

Almora seems to come up with a lot of big hits. Probably purely anecdotal but sure are a lot of big moments for him in his young career.
