We are playing the Reds ? Right?

This is Why they should trade for Chapman. Swear seeing Jake walk 5 guys in 5 innings then have to deal with a shakey MR. You are going to start crying is anyone but Wood/Strop/Rondon enter.

If the Yanks want Vogelbach. And he has 14 HR's and hitting .300. you have to do it. Even on a rental. Who knows they may pay out on him if he stabilizes the pen and pushes them to the series.

All I do know is they are playing with fire right now. They have to get a shut down guy in the pen.

Setting the bar a bit low there with Vogelbach you know? I'm pretty sure he wouldn't even be the main piece in a trade for any of those players. Additionally, don't really see how Chapman solves the problem of Arrieta pitching 5 innings. Chapman isn't going to be a multiple inning reliever for the cubs. He'd either be the closer or set up guy. And even if that pushes say Strop back an inning it doesn't really do much to solve the 6th.

For a guy hitting .287/.410/.579, I don't feel like anyone talks about Rizzo. After tonight he might be top 5 in OBP and slugging.

He is the leading vote getter of the all star game over Trout. He is getting plenty of love. lol

If you are trading with the Yankees it's for Miller not Chapman

I just mean media wise which admittedly isn't the best source. I guess I was just really surprised a few days ago when I looked at his line. I thought he'd played well but those are some crazy numbers. Also Russell is getting a ton of votes so I'm not sure that's the best measure of exposure vs performance.

He gets another AB and homers, he breaks record for total bases in game (19).. Currently at 16

This is exactly what the Cubs needed. A team they could tee off on to get their bats back working. I think the hitting slump is over...:)
