So what, that's well above freezing...shocked really. I wonder if the porta potties aren;t ready yet.

Above freezing now, but will be below tonight and possible rain. Bad mix.

Temp wise it will be all night. Oh well. Like I said, I have a feeling it's an excuse as something isn't ready.

I'm hoping Alcantara starts personally.

If so at 3B. La Stella matches up with Lynn. Not to mention LaStella went 1 for 3 with a SB. Not a bad line for a #9 hitter.

Olt went 0-4 with 2 SO's.

I feel that they should push Soler back to the 4 spot until Bryant promotes. Castro really is not a power threat.

Something like:
Fowler CF
La Stella 2B
Rizzo 1B
Soler RF
Coghlan LF
Castro SS
Montero C
Arrieta P
Alcantara 3B

It would be better than watching Olt go 0-4 with 2 SO's again. Dude rakes in S/T but real time has always been in question with him.

One less game without Bryant. Count to minimum games required without Roy Hobbs Jr. = 7.

I dont mind Soler in the 2 hole for now, especially if he bats the pitcher 8th...

Soler came up twice in first 3 innings with a runner in scoring position, just didn't execute...

You wanna get Soler more ABs and most opportunity to drive in runs and he will get both in the 2 hole with the pitcher hitting 8th..

I do feel though when bryant arrives castro will go in 2 hole, Soler 3, Rizzo 4, Bryant 5

If anyone thinks that Bryant would have made the Cubs win Sunday night, he wouldn't have. Get over it.

No one was hitting the ball out of the park, and Bryant's defense at 3B is worse than Olt's.

Get off the one-man-show theory people. They didn't play well as a team and the Cardinals did, and they also did everything right.

It is 162 game season.

BTW, the Cubs in 07' lost on opening day and actually lost 6 of the first 10 games.

In 08' the Cubs also lost opening day, 3 of the first 4 before putting a win streak together to go 6-4 over the first 10 games.

15 teams won, and 15 lost. It is a long grind of a season, and if anyone is pissed that their respective teams didn't win opening day and are already panicking, they need to pick up a hobby like crocheting or needlepoint.

You must have missed the part where the Cubs scored zero runs. I didn't even mention winning. But since you mention it, you have the so-called "leader" predicting winning the division but then in games against the team who likely poses the biggest challenged, he pulls an ofer and the team scores no runs. Meanwhile, the Cubs best hitter is in Iowa.

Yes. It's a well oiled machine.
