I am not a professional ball player. It comes with the job They don't get to take a PTO day to go fishing or golfing. They can handle it.

Managers have been giving players a day off forever. Maddon is the only manager that gives a regular the day off then there is a 95% chance he will play anyway

I told you why...

There only 4 guys on the bench and 1 the backup catcher.
So odds are, the guy getting a break is going to be used later in the game as a PH or defensive replacement .
