We lost a game started by one of the best pictures in baseball and the sky is falling.
Nobody said the sky was falling....
I said their an 80-85 win team based mainly on their pitching and so far that where their headed..
I'm not going to sit here and think the pitching all better now, It improved dramatically since the first 10 games but I want to wait and see how they look after a couple more turns through the rotation and if the bullpen can sustain a little of what theyve been doing lately..

Remember, you can't win a pennant in April, but you can lose one.

Since most of the division is starting to bunch in the middle, as statistics would have predicted would happen in what's becoming a pretty evenly-matched set of teams, no one in the division has managed to lose the pennant in April. Yet.

This far into the season, that's all anyone can say for certain.

Mills brought up, Rosario sent down

Getting a fresh arm in the pen to take over for Chatwood in the 3rd or 4th inning

I have no problem waiting a couple weeks before declaring them contenders. Why are you in such a hurry to (once again) declare the sky is falling?

The season is 26 weeks long. Jumping off the ledge in Week 4 is a little extreme. But it is your M.O.

Nope, you and a couple others are the ones who come on here and starts shit up with sarcastic comments..

You're suppose to be a moderator not an instigator

You have been solid every year with the sky is falling M.O. You wanted to trade Baez the year of the WS win. LoL

I dont consider this as the sky falling, it what I expected..
I didn't go from having a high hope to them falling apart after 3 weeks..
I made my prediction of them being 500 or so in ST because of the pitching , and so far after 20 games that where their at, mainly because of the pitching..

I'm gonna reserve judgement till I see this a few more times. I have no idea what this guy did but he certainly does not look like the same guy who tortured us last season.

Better results but from a stats stand point since that's my main add here I don't buy it. 2 walk and 2 K's indicates more luck than the statline would otherwise indicate. I mean it's not all luck because he's getting a ton of ground balls as well. But you typically want to be at the very least 2:1 k:bb rate and preferably 3:1 or 4:1 for good/great starters. This style approach is heavily babip dependent.

No I didn't, Baez wasn't even a full time player til later that season and ive always been a Baez fan, so dont make up lies..

Another thing, pointing out the faults of a team isnt saying the sky is falling...
Everyone on here including you shared disappointment when things weren't going well, like the first 10 games...

So those of you pretending on here to not be disappointed to date on here, just stop it

Meh, he's not Bob Gibson. He's throwing strikes...you throw strikes, they get hit in MLB....hopefully at someone. Last year he did not do that.

I mean sure it's improvement but statistically speaking MLB pitchers don't survive at that low a k:bb rate. Don't get me wrong, Chatwood has the stuff to k people. Think he was almost 9 per 9 last year. But typically speaking when you're pitching to contact that often something bad is going to happen eventually.

This was the best case scenario for him. I was expecting at best 6IP and 3 ER

I will say this about Chatwood....he's held my interest for 6 innings. Last year on a nice day like this....the aggravation of watching him would've had me off doing other things. So there's that.....need to see this a bit more. Hoping it's not an anomaly.

He has been successful in the past.

Best case is he forces a rotation slot pushing Darvish into the closer job.

Morrow going down indefinite will force tough choices.

Take a good start from Chatwood anytime you get one...

Robbie Ray pitching like Greinke as the bats are struggling again today

Hopefully the rest of the pen can keep the Dback off the board

Then why do you need to whine about it 12 times a day?

If you expect them to be .500 and miss the playoffs, fine. Are you going to whine all 81 times they lose?
