I figured you'd criticize Lester for going only 4, and criticize Joe for sitting JJ. :)
I was pulling for him in the 5th..
He started that inning with something like 92

Nats in trouble..
Scherzer left game in 1st with neck spasms..
Not sure how long he'll miss but now both him and Strasburg are injured..

Dusty demons still alive with pitchers

Question for everyone, over under 90 wins
If rotation stays in check and continues to pitch well..
57 games left, so win at least 3 of 5...
I'll say over with 91 or 92 wins

Currently on 538, Cubs are predicted to win 91 games with an 88% chance of making the playoffs ans an 82% chance of winning the division.

Fangraphs projection has right at 90 as well. I'll take the over. Think the projections are slightly conservative.

Oh didn't even know that, I was just guessing 90. I'd say about 90 wins for us, I'd be happy w 92-70

I just want to get this straight with y'all, I predicted 91-93 wins to start the season and everyone said I was low. Then everyone said they couldn't win that many. Now, it seems that everyone is picking...91-93 games. Just checking

The craziest thing I heard last night was that the Cubs were the first defending champ to be in 1st place in Division on August 1 since the 2011 Giants.

OK, my friend got it. Yet, I'm ridiculed for sticking with my win total all season through good and bad. I see how this works.

Did we do a pre-season predictions this year? I do remember saying somewhere 95 wins based on the fact that I knew that things would not go anywhere as swimmingly smooth as 2016. More injuries, more bad breaks, more players underachieving....what I did not see was a near team wide batting slump that lasted off and on for nearly the whole first half of the season. By the All-Star break my prediction looked laughable at best....still a reach at this point but not out of the question.

At the beginning of the year I would have guessed 95 wins, now I'd say 90
