So where are the whiners from mid-June when the Cubs were slumping a bit?
The ones who said they weren't as good as the Giants?

OK, to answer my own post....
Throw out the July 3rd debacle in NY, and Lester owns a 2.25 ERA.
Throw out his one other bad loss, in SF in Mid-May....his ERA is 2.02 over the other 25 starts.
He's had a couple other clunkers in which he escaped without a loss, but....
April: 5 starts 1.83 ERA
June 6 starts 1.41 ERA (pitcher of the month)
August 5 starts 1.71 ERA
He also has the following no-decisions (everyone has some, I know, but....)
7 IP 1 ER
7 IP 2 ER
7. 2 IP 1 Er (solo HR)
6 IP 2 ER
6 IP 0 ER
THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is your Game 1 starter!
I still think the playoff rotation should be
Arrieta
Hendricks
Lester
Lackey
You have Jake in game one and potentially five, you have Kyle at home, and you have your two most experienced guys in Lester and Lackey going on the road to hopefully close it out.
I'd go
Lester
Hendricks
Arrieta
Lackey
As good as Hendricks has been game one obviously has to be Arrieta or Lester. Right now I trust Lester more. I still trust Arrieta to get the job done though so he starts on the road.
Your think not playing for a couple days hed find time to cut his dann nails..[emoji16]Soler scratched due to a ingrown toenail....lolololololololololololo
Can't go wrong either way, Arrieta or LesterI'd agree with this right now but there's still a month to go. If Jake suddenly turns electric again...well, that would change everything. I even heard Jake himself say that you have to go with who's hot.
