I want to see Baez be a better hitter in this situation. Undersand how they're trying to do to you and go the other way with slow breaking stuff.

Wow
Must of been a cubs fan or astro fan reviewing that
Figured it would go inconclusive and be out

I think KB is safe with either a better slide (missed the plate) or if he takes a more aggressive secondary lead with the third baseman not holding him on much.

Looked like he slipped a bit on his first step

I agree. The play called for a fade.

Jake at 89 pitches. Assume he starts the 8th and then Rondon is warming. Then if he gets them in order, you have Chapman for the ninth with three straight lefties.

Interesting thought: if the Mariners go with Seth Smith off the bench, that would be four straight lefties. Do you go to Chapman in the eighth and then Rondon in the ninth? I always believed the value in two closers who are opposite handed came in using the lefty or righty as situation calls for it.

This guy is clearly bunting. I'd go Chapman here. Lefty heat on a guy trying to bunt. Then you have Chapman to get the three straight lefties.

Team's inability to hit a sac fly will eventually haunt the Cubs

I don't like this move. You give up everything on planet earth to get one of the best strikeout guys in baseball and with three straight lefties, you go with Rondon?

Can these goofs actually blow three straight calls at the plate?
