Whatever happens here in the 9th just hope they throw strikes. If the get beat on hits I can live with it but i don't wanna see them walking guys into position to win.

Well, I understand. But I really am not OK with getting beat on hits either. This team has a terrible offense. We need to get this one in the books. And a lead off single doesn't help.

Cishek reminds me of a bullpen version of Phil Neikro. Not that he throws a knuckleball, but that he may be very good, or completely unable to get the ball to do what he wants.

I remember watching Neikro, and you knew by the end of the 1st inning whether you would have offense that day. He'd cruise, or get crushed. Not a lot of middle ground.

In fairness, they had the best pen over the past 4 weeks, and with the closer out, lost their next option.

So I don't think I'd say they didn't address the issue. How many bullpens lose their #1 and #2 and save every game?

That being said, if they do think they need to get a closer - and I think they do - I would not wait until July.
