My favorite teams
Last 2 outings, the BP has been fine. Hope they are fixed.
Great job by Brach Kintzler and Rosario today..
All gave 2 solid innings
Something like 12 scoreless in a row since Saturday night...Last 2 outings, the BP has been fine. Hope they are fixed.
would have really been nice to move up a game to tonight.
I've seen speculation that Colin Rea or Duane Underwood could get the call to start but Rea would require knocking someone off the 40 man and I'm not sure they're ready to give Underwood another look yet. It's likely going to be Chatwood.

You telling me these posters didnt call this terrible pitching? I know saying we should have signed a reliever would have settled all these problems. Maybe I just foolish.Or, it never really needed to be "fixed" in the first place. It was just small sample size noise that happened to coincide with the start of the season, exacerbated by the "Tear it all down!" Chicken Littles desperately searching for validation of their angst-y offseason takes.

From Cubs site
Right-hander Carl Edwards Jr. needed to hit the reset button. He looked great during the spring, but the pause he debuted in his delivery in the preseason morphed into an illegal re-planting of the foot in his regular-season debut. In my opinion, Edwards also seemed far too willing to immediately abandon a change that he worked so hard on for months. Then on Friday in Milwaukee, the reliever tried throwing a few pitches with his eyes closed in a pregame mound workout.
All of those things point to a pitcher who was searching. When that happens, a trip back to the Minors -- where the pressure is not as high -- can sometimes be the remedy. The Cubs need him to settle into a routine, get back to the basics of what got him to the big leagues and just regain confidence. I have no doubt Edwards will be back in Chicago's bullpen at some point this year.
