It may go unnoticed if the cubs don't score but that Bryant at bat was so good. 10 pitch walk after starting 0-2

Starting to wonder whether we're seeing the next evolution of Bryant...

Right, but the big boys need "protection" in the lineup so they get pitches to hit. Lets see when Joe moves him to a meaty spot in the order with "protection".

I am sure that will be the Heyward excuse soon enough.

I don’t agree with it honestly. For the most part Baez hit 7 because there was a lefty on the hill. In general he has been the 8 hitter.

Protection is such a weak verbiage (rhymes with garbage)

20 pitches for one out. Gonna be a long day for the Pirates bullpen at that rate.
Nope...
First 2 get on then he retired next 6...

Hopefully theyll do something second time through order

Through 2 Trevor is a bit high on pitches. Normally you'd like to be at around 30. He's at 37 with the meat of the order coming up again.

Another decent AB by bryant. Struck out obviously but he's seen 17 pitches in 2 ABs. That's a good game for most players.

He good for 5 or 6, depending on how they do 2nd time through..

They got a 1 out double then he gets Bryant and Zobrist..

Cubs tend to make pitchers throw alot early but dont capitalize, then they settle down after..

Well he's now at 76 pitches through 4. Doubt he goes more than 5 and if the cubs have a good inning he might make it out of the 5th.

I hope he dont make it out of the 5th..lol

He probably got 20-25 pitches left to get 3 outs..
But yea a baserunner or two and he most likely lifted..

Hendricks probably only goes 5 too..

Once upon a time, the wind blowing out meant a high scoring game, as simply making contact would lead to some wind-aided HR's.

But when the team already has power enough to hit HR's, but only tries for HR's, today's wind doesn't help.

For shit's sake, just get on base!!

Wind shifted in like the 2nd. It's blowing in hard now.

Last year was unreal for scoring 10+ then 0 or 1.

Let's put an end to that crap today.

That wind is not blowing in nearly hard enough.

Just as I was thinking how good Wilson looks, he falls back into walk-mode, and then a long ball. Worst possible combination.
