All you guys cheering the Brewers may live to regret that in a few weeks. Wouldn't surprise me if the Cards, Brewers, and Nationals all finish above the Cubs.
And the Cubs get to play the Pirates three more times and the Cards 7 more times the last two weeks. So it wouldn't surprise me if the Cubs regained 1st place either!

Lol you really don’t like the Cubs do you?! ?
Surely being 2 games behind the Cardinals is better than being 3 games behind...that’s just logical...

You play the odds. It would be better for the Brewers to lose so that the Cubs have a more comfortable spot in the Wild Card race. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

So you don’t think the Cubs can win the division?

Cubs have a day off next week where they can line things up to have Hendricks and Darvish in both cardinals series if they move back a Lester start. Will they do the right thing or will they show unfounded faith in Lester?

Maddon will go to his grave with Lester.

It's possible but not likely.
That's crazy.

Changes to win the division are more likely now then 3 days ago. When you're down 2 with 7 to play w/ the team ahead of you the changes are highly likely if you win the games.

Cubs have to take care of business now. That's it. Their destiny is in their hands.

They're 2 GB right? So, as I said, it's possible but not likely. Unless you consider being 2 GB with a couple weeks to go a likely scenario. Fangraphs has the Cards projected to win the NL Central with odds of 59%. Cubs at 35%.

The reality for the division is this, If the Cubs go 4-2 in their 6 non Cardinals games, they still need to beat the Cards 5-2 while hoping StL is no better than 4-2 in their other games to win the Division. Reality is that the Cards winning today would be better for the Cubs' playoff prospects. With who the Brewers have left, they're likely to go 10-3 to finish out the season. 88 wins will probably get a NL team to the playoffs, 90 to win the NLC.

Cards play 3 against Washington big 3. Cubs could easily be tied going into this weekend series. Brewers have the easiest schedule left.

Well, when the Cubs were favorites a month ago, people kept throwing those stats in my face. And now that the Cards are favorites, those stats aren't as important huh? Funny how that works.

Lester will start all 3 vs. STL.

You go for the division. Not the wildcard.

St. Louis faces Washingtons big 3 starting tonight. We have a good shot at pulling even if the Cubs handle their business. Simple as that.
