Wow 2 errors from our all mighty catcher. Ya know I was thinking that they should sell high on him. Trade him to the AL and then swoop in and sign Grandal.
It was more so what would be a out of the box approach to the off season. Sign a SH catcher that frames excellent and have his back up also SH. That way they have that middle of the line up LH bat in place. Then lead off with Rizzo.
Balance would be
Rizzo/Grandal/Schwarber/Heyward
Baez/Bryant/Nico/and a CF or RF. Not really picky here.
Nothing serious but all the talk has been about trading Schwarber or Bryant or Baez. But Contreras also is a 2x all star with 3 years of control with your #2 too prospect in AA and your back up would start on some teams.
It is not this bad idea honest.
