Call me a meatball, but I've had about enough of Joe Maddon.

Really? The 1 guy that got you a WS in a century. Like was the same as cheering For Lou leaving and seeing the free fall after.

Short sited

I get it. He wants Kyle leading off and if he is showing any life he is going to slot him there.

The whole Frankoff bit was weird. I'm guessing that he is spent and they needed a extra arm for today. Agiain how Joe doesn't trust Butler going past 5. He has a short leash out and Pena looks to be the first arm in.

Again hope Montgomery works out. This season is going to look ugly.

Btw. I thought split due to Lester and Arrieta. I'll give them 1 now. Jake has been on again.

I think a lot of what would be Maddon decision is coming from above, plus his stubbornness.

Schwarber playing everyday and leading off despite sucking worse then what others have done in past and were either sent down or released..

Not playing Almora in CF everyday or most everyday and at least see what he can do at leadoff..
Has to be better then Schwarber.

Squeezing out what he can of Zobrist over just playing Baez and now Happ.

Nothing he can do with having Lackey and Butler in rotation, he can only go with who he given by front office.
Same with relievers..

Unfortunately wasting a solid season by Davis as closer..
No opportunity to use him on that role, only 12 save situations to date.
Most likely going to lose him at season end.

This team is badly inconsistent this year, but mostly bad.

Maddon is undoubtably the luckiest motherfucker in Chicago sports history.

That is about dumb. Even with a small market vs Boston and NY add a bigger market of Balt. Add Toronto. His team should have been a 100 loss team every year. But no he competed every year.

This team was not competive post Lou to Joe. Joe comes in everything was green lifted and they are in the hunt.

The team is not performing. That is the reality. You can't blame Lou for player regression. For Russell slumping. Etc

I hope Zobrist hits a homer up next but he's killing us lately

As of right now cubs too 3 average hitters don't even start everyday..

Jay .296
Montero .289
Almora .270

Top average from an everyday player and also next best average..

Bryant .264

This is all you need to see why this offense is so bad this year..

If you think Jon Jay makes a team's offense better, I don't know what to tell you. Add to that the fact he is poor defensively, and there is why you dont see him every day.

There isn't 1 pitcher that fears Schwarber at the plate..

Welcome back to leadoff
O for 4 2 Ks
Average back down to .167

Keep playing him and leading him off..

Lowest season batting average since 1920..

Dan Uggla ATL. 2013 448 AB 80 Hits 171 Ks .179 Avg

Rob Deer DET. 1991 448 AB 80 Hits 175 Ks .179

Schwarber on pace to take that record..
198 AB 33 hits 71 Ks .167

Who said he would make offense better..

Just showed who were leading this team in Avg right now..
Plus
The fact that he is no.1 average wise, just shows even more how bad this team is offensively this year..
Plus
as bad as he may be defensively and all..
I would much rather see him in LF and hitting over Schwarber now ..

Thinking about it now..
What would it hurt to see Jay in LF and Almora in CF for a series or two
