How many more chances do you think Wood gets before he gets replaced with Wada?

Missed the game today, but great to see them rally back from a big deficit and pull off the sweep. Back to playing like we started the year. Keep it up, boys! GO CUBS

Wada: 7 IP 4 hits 1 ER 0 BB 6 SO
Wood: 4.1 IP 7 Hits 5 ER, 1 BB 5 SO.

Any more starts by Wood and there is something wrong with the front office.

Also I called that Niece was beatable. .280 BA against. His WHIP was around 1.45. He was getting lucky and the Cubs pounded him.

He has always been and always will be extremely beatable. I feel into his trap a couple of years ago in fantasy.

Sczur found pop in the off-season. It looks like he changed his swing plane. Do the Cubs really need to find a LF or should he get a fair shot to be the regular F7?

They are going to have to make a decision with Baez soon. 2 for 4 3 RBI's. He is on a 5 game tear right now. He is up to .281 now. 57 AB's .281/.359/.421.

I would give him 100 AB's but with the Cubs at 19-15 now an arguement could be made to promote him and Wada. Move Wood to the pen and demote Rosscup and Szczur. Both have options going on.

Now who do you move to LF. I believe it should be Baez. Let him figure it out for a few days at Iowa and move him up.

But the line up then:
Fowler
Bryant
Rizzo
Baez
Montero
Soler
Castro
pitcher
Russell

That is pretty crazy then.

I think they could find a taker in Wood on the trade market. The Cubs can't be moving all their bad SP into the pen, there isn't enough space for that in the pen

ya Even today he has 2 unearned runs. That has been masking his true worth.

Nothing wrong with a LH/RH long man combo. Jackson and Wood. Both should improve in short bursts. Not to mention Woods highest value then is as a PH.

Not to mention: Wood: 5.28 IP/G. But his SO/9 is 9.47. BB/9: 2.43. He is missing bats and is not walking a bunch of guys. He is getting pounded by HR's early on. Which means he is elevating his pitches. I really think he would improve as a 2 inning pitcher.

Why?

Why do the have to make a decision, and why does it have to be soon?

  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
I don't think it has to be soon. If Castro continues to hit and plays a bit over average at SS and Russell continues to hit .250 or better with some pop in his bat, wouldn't it be better to have him raking in AAA and use him as a trade piece? Or would you use castro as the trade piece, move Russell over and hope when Baez gets the call up, he doesn't miss a beat?
