Do they pick this game up where it left off tomorrow before the regular scheduled game?
Armageddon is about to roll in to Wrigley for the rest of the evening.

To be completed tomorrow

yep. so bat him fifth and put him in that spot after you ask your cleanup hitter to bunt, twice.

? Baez went 1 for 4 with 3 SO’s. I wouldn’t call that bunting.

I don’t agree with Cartiani hitting #5 but the bottom was fruitless so I wouldn’t blame 1 guy. It had more to do with Zobrist getting a day off and missing his bat for a day. We take what he brings for granted.

Exactly. Oh, he tried to bunt a couple of times but it wasn't a manager dictated sacrifice...he was bunting for a hit. Considering it was against DeGrom, not a real bad idea....the guy is tough.

Official lineup not out yet but it's been confirmed that Bote is starting at SS for the regularly scheduled game.

As a lead off I have no issues with it on the first pitch. Rather have him looking RF and adjust in

It's almost as if the Cubs are playing their best baseball of the year. How ever could we have predicted this phenomenon?

On the last game: what is DeGromm worth in a trade?

I was thinking that Baez was 1/2 his value as is.

But speaking OBA realistic trade scenario what would the Cubs pay and what would the Mets accept.

Now I pretty much concider DeGromm and Bryant equal value talent. Which means 6-7 WAR. I see Baez as a 4-5 WAR talent.

Trade chips:

MLB:

Russell 3 WAR full season. 2016 IMO should not be his mean.

Happ: 2 WAR Maybe more if he controls his strike outs

Schwarber: 2 WAR. Hitting .240 really snuffs his value and any improvement in LF means little until he up ticks it to .270ish. Then his skill set jumps to 5 WAR talent.

Minors:

Amaya is a nice toss in. Mets most likely would demand him.

Rest no. Cubs legit talent is at the major league level

This Mills did pretty bad today. That's unfortunate.

He got jumped on in the 1st then shut the door. Honestly not shocking that happened. Could have been anything but in most cases no feel for a pitch and got hammered while adjusting.

I look at it as he adjusted vs caved

Pretty bad, huh? Then what would you call Chatwood's outings? Not his best game but I'll take what he did as a fill in starter, anytime.
