LOL at Rami saying Thabo is playing the 4 for a large chunk of the game.

The issue here isn't the pacing of the game for OKC it's that Harden has been completely taken out of the series for the most part. Frankly he looks like the moment is too big for him. He just seems to be really lacking confidence right now and seems shook.

It also helps the Heat out a lot that Shane Battier decided to show up and after having a pretty uninspiring regular season has been playing his best basketball at the right time.

Obviously Lebron is playing like a man amongst boys as well.

OKC's pacing isn't the issue. The issue is the Heat have more key players playing well/really well than the Thunder do right now.

Tough to hate on Westbrook last night after a 43 point game but that turnover off his foot with the Thunder up two really hurt...a lot.

I hate being right.

Wow you picked the Heat.

Way to step out on a limb there.

You had what? A 50% chance of being "right"?

LOL at you patting yourself on the back on this one when you're on record as saying you're not sure that Oscar Robertson is better than Clyde Drexler.

said that Miami would win because LeBron and Wade would always drive to the basket and at the very least get a foul call, whereas Durant and Oklahoma would be more content to shoot jumpers. I think that has been the case thus far in the series. Miami shot a ton of 3's in game 1 and lost...since then they and LeBron have been much more aggressive and seemed to have the ability to take things up a notch. Oklahoma hasn't done this..

Stats I got that may be related to this statement

Miami 94 Game 1:
8-19 from 3’s. Took it to the rim 22 times
Additional: 7-11 between 3-9 ft. 2-5 between 10-15 ft. 6-20 between 16-23 ft.
And 1’s drawn: 4

Thunder-105 Game 1:
5-17 on 3’s. Took it to the rim 36 times.
Additional: 3-5 between 3-9 ft. 0-5 between 10-15 ft. 6-13 between 16-23 ft.
And 1’s drawn: 3

Miami-100 Game 2:
6-14 on 3’s. Took it to the rim 28 times
Additional: 5-15 between 3-9 feet. 2-7 between 10-15 feet. 5-12 between 16-23 feet.
And 1’s drawn: 1

Thunder-96 Game 2:
9-26 on 3’s. Took it to the rim 29 times
Additional: 1-6 between 3-9 feet. 2-4 between 10-15 feet. 6-13 between 16-23 feet
And 1’s drawn: 1

Miami-91 Game 3:
4-13 on 3’s. Took it to the rim 35 times
Additional: 0-7 between 3-9 feet. 0-4 between 10-15 feet. 1-15 between 16-23 feet. So they were 1-26 between 3-23 feet!!
And 1’s drawn:4

Thunder- 85 Game 3:
4-18 on 3’s. Took it to the rim 27 times
Additional: 3-8 between 3-9 feet. 7-9 between 10-15 feet. 6-15 between 16-23 feet.
And 1’s drawn: 2

Miami-104Game 4:
10-26 on 3’s. Took it to the rim 23 times.
Additional: 5-9 between 3-9 ft. 1-8 between 10-15 ft. 5-13 between 16-23 ft.
And 1’s drawn:3

Thunder-98 Game 4:
3-16 on 3’s. Took it to the rim 28 times.
Additional: 3-8 between 3-9 ft. 6-10 between 10-15 ft. 12-20 between 16-23 ft.
And 1’s drawn: 2

He's not really costing the Thunder because he's playing well. If anyone is costing the Thunder this series, it's Harden.

Durant needs more shots though. He's averaging 30 PPG on 20 shots per game shooting 55%.

Westbrook is averaging 29 PPG on 25 shots per game shooting 48%.

 that's pretty sick, but let's give Hue a break now.
He's a pretty sensitive guy.......and I don't want him blaming me for this outrage.
In a way I think he chose OKC in 6 only because I chose Miami in 6.....He posted that quote like right after I posted my predictions of Miami winning in 6.
That's the only logical explanation for his contradictions and going against his own beliefs...He hates me so much that he wanted to post the opposite opinion of mine, even if it meant giving up his loyalty to King James, which he did.

That's my hypothosis on this dreadful fumble.

First of all, you are allergic to anything "logical". I chose OKC in 6 because I believed they had a better team. That is the only reason I made the choice. I never believed Durant was a better player than Lebron. Nor did I buy into the Lebron hate that you propagandized on a daily basis.

Because I am a Lebron fan, I am supposed to pick the Heat to win every series? I don't think so...Last year I chose Miami over Chicago because Miami was a better team...not because I wanted Miami to win. The question was, who do you THINK WILL WIN...not WHO ARE YOU ROOTING FOR! And I have stated in the past, I have never rooted for Lebron James to win a title...never.

As far as my addressing the Lebron hate....the views on this forum were not necessarily that the Heat weren't good enough to win a title...it was that LEBRON WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN A TITLE! Again, something you felt the need to state from time to time. I have emphatically stated that rings had nothing to do (in my mind) with how great an individual player Lebron James is.

Yet I was the one who criticized him the most on this forum after the Finals last year...just like I criticized everybody's favorite point guard for his ineffectiveness in the ECF. I have had no problem being critical of Lebron when he deserves it, and giving him props for being one of the greatest.

So get over yourself dude, I don't make ANY decisions based on your opinions. I don't know anyone who would. You seem to think you are the center of the CCS universe...when you realize nobody gives a damn about what you think...including you most likely...you will be better off.

But at 35 years old, so you say, to say that because I am a fan of Lebron's game that I have to cheer for him to win is very immature. Unfortunately DingDongForce...who has few rational thoughts, supports you in these beliefs...that alone should tell you that you are thinking illogically.

Pretty stupid analysis saying that the only time the Heat took it to the rim resulted in shots. Sloppy analysis is sloppy and that's why I despise "advanced" basketball stats. It's as though I would think that in order to see "at rim" takes you'd also have to somewhat look at assists generated and from where on the floor they came from.

Lebron taking it at the rim doesn't always equate to a shot. it could equate to a kick out as well. Also, you'd have to look at the guys like Wade and James 3-9 footers as well as "at rim" takes could also result in pull ups jumpers etc. The stats give a decent quick look but basketball but I don't think it's any coincidence that since game 1 Lebron and Wade's total "at rim/3-9ft" attempts have gone up and while last night they dropped Chalmers was getting to the basket at much as he wanted to late and add to that the fact that Bosh only had (1) at rim attempt in game 1 and since then his totals have been 8,6, and 7. I think simply looking at one stat and not looking at all the possible peripherals is missing the mark.

I think simply looking at one stat and not looking at all the possible peripherals is missing the mark.

I only posted those stats because Rory said his wife thought MIA would win because they would take it to the basket more "and at the very least, get a foul called" while OKC would be shooting jumpers. Those stats show how many jumpers each team shot and how many shots they attempted at the rim... which is what I meant by "taking it to the rim." If there was a stat for how many times a player drove to the rim and kicked it out, even OKC's numbers would be higher too. Hell, everyone's would be.

But those stats show that OKC was shooting more jumpers in games 2 and 3, while Miami was taking less.. and Miami won both of those games. In game 1, OKC took it to the rim a lot more and took a lot less jumpers than MIA.. and MIA lost. In game 4, they roughly shot it from the outside the same amount of times, and OKC attempted more shots at the rim.. but OKC was ice cold from 3 while Miami hit 10 3's.

so I basically posted the stats to show what Rory was saying. When Miami shot from the outside less and attempted more shots at the rim, they won. When they shot more [with the exception of game 4], they lost. It also shows how OKC didn't attempt as many shots at the rim as they did in game 1, and instead shot from the outside a lot.

I'm not a fan of advanced stats either.. but I don't think those were advanced stats really. It was pretty much a team shot chart.

Herp derp.

I know what you were showing.

The "conclusions" people come to based off of them are many times rolled into "advanced" stats.
