Madrigal has been good of late. Nice to see contact too and not just strikeouts.

This team is actually fun to watch.

Also Ross is growing on me as a manager.

They are still a ways away but I like the idea of going to a player type that has more contact and less swing and miss. You always got a chance when you put the ball in play. And Suzuki is the real deal.

I hate when starters allow 2 runs to playoff teams
Cracked me up.......but I think he was probably referring some control issues. A couple of walks and a lot of deep counts got him to 90 pitches in less than 5 innings. Not Hendricks like.

IMOP, Steele doesn't have the right mix to be a reliable starter in MLB. If you only have average to mediocre stuff you better have damn good control which he has almost never shown he possesses. Fastest way to find a seat in the pen is by walking a bunch of guys at Wrigley.

Franco sat game 1 with a tight quad. He is one of the hottest hitters in baseball and it reflected.

I really don't care to debate Steel. As of right now he is what we have. Until better options come along bitching about it is a waste of air.

Agreed. I think he and keegan Thompson can be great pieces in the pen but don't think they are long term options as starters on a good team. Cubs need Miley back and Kilian should get a chance once he's stretched out.
